WE ARE OBSESSED WITH MOANA MONTH! 🌊🌺

Sooooo… we thought we’d give you a little sneak peek - because dancing just feels SO much better with a hula necklace!

Our dancers have been loving all things Moana — from learning new choreography to hula dancing and of course games and lots of fun! 🌴🐚

Check out what we got up to in July! 📚🏆🪩

✨ We couldn’t be prouder of our amazing M.I.A Studios students! ✨

Over just 4 weeks, our dancers worked incredibly hard to create and perform their very own Matilda routine. 💛

From learning brand-new choreography and remembering stage positions, to building confidence, working as a team, and performing in front of others, every child achieved something to be proud of.

Watching their confidence grow week after week has been so special, and their final performance was a wonderful celebration of everything they had learned. We built our mini movers confidence performing in front of one another and our older students performing to an audience of all of there loved ones! 👏🎭

At M.I.A Studios, dance is about so much more than learning choreography 💛🌟

Throughout our Matilda Month, our students haven’t just been building their dance skills—they’ve also been building confidence, kindness and gratitude.

Through thoughtful conversations, creative crafts and moments of reflection, we’ve encouraged our dancers to think about the people, places and little things that make them smile. It’s a lovely reminder that confidence grows when children feel valued, heard and encouraged to appreciate the world around them!

📣 Cheerleading Month Complete! 📣

What a fantastic month we’ve had learning one of our favourite styles of dance - CHEERLEADING! Each week brought a different focus to keep sessions engaging, challenging and packed with learning. From balances and jumps to arm movements, tumbling and teamwork, our cheerleaders have been busy developing a wide range of skills.

Cheerleading is definitely been one of our favourite themes – and we think the smiles in this video say it all!

Our older students have been challenged with new balances, tumbles and partner work, helping to build strength, core stability, confidence and agility. Meanwhile, our younger cheerleaders have received extra support as they learned teddy bear rolls, forward rolls, balances and the foundations of cheerleading in a fun and encouraging environment.

We are so proud of the progress every child has made this month. 🌟

Now the question is… what exciting theme will Team M.I.A bring next month? 👀 🪩

At M.I.A Studios, we listen to our students! 🤠✨

One of our dancers was determined to improve her line dancing, so we dedicated an entire month to it. Line dancing takes real concentration—learning complex sequences, moving in different directions, and breaking each step down carefully until it all comes together. Our students embraced the challenge and absolutely loved spending a month as cowgirls!

For our little ones, we brought the theme to life with a Toy Story-inspired adventure. Dressed as their favourite cowgirls, they danced, learned, and let their imaginations run wild. 💛

Watching our students grow in confidence, try something new, and have so much fun along the way is what makes M.I.A Studios so special 🤠
