Next up on our session showcase is our Battle Strong class.
Battle Strong is one of our most popular classes that will improve your physical fitness, body composition and mental strength.
Strength training is a great way to improve your fitness and offers endless benefits. We highly recommend participating in these classes to get the best possible results from your BB training.
Some of the benefits include:
• Makes you stronger. Getting stronger helps you to perform daily tasks much easier such as carrying stuff around or running around with kids etc. As we age, our muscle mass decreases and we can feel weak and tired a lot. Weight training can help prevent this by maintain muscle mass.
• Great for weight loss. So building muscle increases your metabolic rate (how many calories you burn) and your body will burn more calories when resting. Research shows that your metabolic rate can increase for up to 72 hours after strength exercise, this making it great for fat loss if you’re in a calorie deficit.
• Reduces risk of injury. Strength training helps improve your range of motion and mobility of your muscles, joints and tendons, strengthening your joints which will protect you from injury. Additionally, building a stronger core, glutes and hamstrings can help reduce the risk of lower back injuries which can be common for people who exercise without adding strength training into their routine.
• Boost your self-esteem. Strength training pushes you to overcome challenges when working towards a goal which can increase your self-efficacy and belief in yourself. Research has shown that strength training can have a positive impact on your body image resulting in a boost of self-confidence.
• Makes your bones stronger. Weight bearing exercises put stress on your bones which results in your body rebuilding your bones stronger. This is beneficial to everyone, but can be particularly beneficial to older females to help prevent osteoporosis related injuries.
• Improves sports performance. Whether you are training for a run, team sports or individual competition, incorporating strength training into your weekly training plan is a must if you participate in sport. All of the benefits above combine to improve your overall performance and be a stronger, better athlete.

And ladies, don't worry you're not going to end up like Arnold Schwarzenegger from these classes. Unless you do weight training for many hours per week and eat s**t loads of food, it's very difficult to get massive 😂
