2026 ended with a bang... Quite literally, first session out and a nice low side to set off the air bag πŸ˜… crash was a real silly one and im annoyed at myself for the mistake but it happens and we learn.

Saturday remained a day of frustration both with the weather and the bikes performance, off to the garage be stripped and dynoed etc get it re set up as something just isnt quite 100% with it.
Missed 2 of the races due to the wet bike not being 100% and the weather being that back & forth all day we chose to sit out and hang on until the second round of races.
Finished saturday getting the wet bike out for one more tun to confirm some changes we had done had worked, they did but the bike up the top part of the rev range just wasnt happy so got it round for the finish.
Last race of the day was damp but took the dry bike out for a shake down as we have changed quite abit on this over the last month to test here at Darley ready for next year.

Sunday, woke up and my god there was SUN!! 🀣

Practice was still a damp track so took out the dry bike and took it steady as there were some areas still quite wet and some puddles offline.
Mixed races all day some crashes, oil dropped etc
rest of the races went well some futher adjustments made and finally on the last race everything started to come together and we managed to finish P3 behind & infront of some very quick riders so i couldnt be happier and it certianly has finished the year off on a real high!

Massive thank you to everyone who has helped it has been much appreciated and we look forward to some.more roads racing in 2027 🀘

Race report from Olivers mount

Safe to say im glad ive got the balls to go try this place! What a weekend of racing πŸ‘Œ

The whole thing start to finish has been insane from doing a newcomer track walk with Peter Hickman (who i must say him & his mechanic were absolute gents, good convo with everyone etc whilst we did the walkround to help in the paddock)

First laps round there and my head was all over the shop, bike not feeling how i wanted and just overall unhappy with performance.
Some advice and chats with some of the other racers and we did few tweaks gave head a wobble and went out knocking 11 seconds off, more like it πŸ‘Œ

Into qualifying and feeling bit better knocking further 7 seconds of the lap time and starting to feel comfier on the bike.

Race 1 - We qualified and started p18, start was abit off but we got through mere clean and head down to get the laps in. good race and finished happy to have completed this unreal course in one piece P5 in class.

Race 2 - Mere did its thing resulting in 2/3 bikes down dodging them like it was something out of squid game managing to get through and on the back of Ricky who i knew was faster than me by abit so i hooked on best i could to try let him pull me along. Great first few laps and with Rickys crash saturday slowing him up abit I took the opurtunity and got past then gave it all i could as the last lap flag come out, made an absolute mess of the last lap, wide false neutrals you name it but just managed to hold on to a P10 finish overall and P5 in class.

Race 3 - last race of the day sunday, with the heat etc it was a killer wait, after few tweaks to the setup again and head in a good space we went out got off the line okay but not great (starts on the 400 definantly somehting to be worked on) then went on to chase the other 400 newcomer paul and after a lap i managed to get round to then consistantly put in my fastest laps of the weekend, P12 overall P5 in class again πŸ‘Œ

Absolutly mega weekend couldnt have done in it without the support and help from family & friends

Now back home bikes to be checked over some changes to be made then onto the Stars at darley in October after a much deserved holiday break for the main support and my wife Sarah Taylor

First race day at Olivers mount, been great so far learning loads with the bike and the track.
started the day struggling and alittle disapointed but we give the head a wobble had some help from few people in the paddock and then cracked on with qualifying knocking 11 seconds off from warm up... Buzzing more where i wanted to be.

Got back in checked bike over few other adjustments and advice with lines etc and onto the first race.

Into first corner here being a 1st gear 180 was interesting πŸ˜‚ Cracked on and managed to get round in one piece knocking a further 8 seconds off an dgetting 2 spots further up the grid for the race tomorow 🀘

Been a busy one since coming back from the Pre tt.

Paddock was amazing, weather even better.
Daniel Pearson & team, Thank you for the hospitality and assist over the weekend in the paddock 🀘

Had some time to reflect and the roads well there just amazing to ride, albeit with big risks involved and this year having the unfortunate circumstances involved within Race 8.

That has been alot to process, but we can take alot of positives from the weekend with consitant progress in terms of pace and getting comfortable on the new bike pretty quickly with little modifications taking place between the sessions finishing top 4 newcomers every day πŸ‘Œ.

The hard work payed off massively at home before going and the bike passed scruitineering everytime with no issues and ran faultless on the circuit.

I would like to thank King Machine Tool Services for there support in getting us there to begin with!
and to all the other people who have helped out with parts and prep time at home.
