C&M Canicross offer fun structured and safe canicross fitness training in and around the Staffordshire areas.

Classes are run by experienced certified canicrossers and offer a wide range of training from taster sessions up to 10km.

AMWA Haughley Park. 🐕

The race isn’t over until it’s over. A beautiful grassy and muddy course 🥰. Ok day one, Yuki slightly loosing his flow when a pulled up rig team started coming in the opposite direction towards us 😬. Finishing in a sloppy on my behalf🥇.

Day Two DNS 😩. Yuki fell off the bed in the air bnb and hurt his shoulder so we headed for home at midnight to work on recovery and pain relief.

It’s been a tough year medically for him, only 12 months ago he couldn’t walk so we take each race as it comes and count our blessings he is back to his normal self. We’ve got you Yuki 🥰.

Siberian Husky Club Aviemore 40th Anniversary.
I’d won gold before I’d even started 🥇, Yukis return to tough racing after a very poorly year. In April 2023 his immune system starting attacking him and he literally stopped being able to walk, stand up, eat and function like a living healthy animal should. Tests showed no primary source so a mystery as to where it came from but then came the long recovery process and the fight back 💪🏼.
We’re only 9 weeks in full remission without any medication support. But my 9 year old veteran showed his experience and love for the sport by taking it all in his stride. Typically a two day race we consciously chose only to run one day not to push him too far too soon. Day one a comfortable 🥉 lady and if we were at last years peak we would be🥇lady.
For now we thank every day that he is still here growing in strength day by day and being his own d***y self ❤️🐕

Throwback to racing in January in the fab FREEZING 🥶 temps.
Managed to run both dogs on different distances on the same day, so lucky!
I can’t remember the results now, which probably goes to show it’s not all about timing and placements it’s all about running trails together 🥰.

First frost of the year 🙌🏻🥶.
The reality of training….we took to the trails yesterday and couldn’t get a good flow together, the reality was it wasn’t our day so we turned around and walked back to the car……18mins for 2km anyone!? (Needless to say I was super grumpy all day and questioning what I had done wrong to support him in training).
Today we took to the trails again, first frost, below zero temps and it was like months of training came together and we flew 🥶🐕🔥.
The breed and the temperament of Yuki in training mode will never make it easy however when we meet together on the trails and work together it’s just pure magic. 💫

A beaut of a return to racing 🥰.
Thank you to for allowing canicross into your races, soft grassy trails for paws, great human and dog medals and friendly staff.
Our great canicross partnership has returned and Yuki had a blast 🐕. 4th female and 4th canicrosser. 8th overall amongst the “normal” runners.

CaniHike engagement 💍
The weekend saw our return to longer hikes in the beautiful sunny but cold Yorkshire dales. Checkout those views!
After ten years together (we think 😂) he said “I know you wanted a puppy but how about will you marry me instead” 😭.
Another reason I choose hands free hiking…so I can give him a great big hug!

Conference teaching weekend!
A delayed post but we were invited to lead the canicross section conference this year 😱.
Such a joy to spend two days leading dogs of all shapes and sizes across the beautiful Wye Valley.
