Our Golf Club is situated by the village of Southend in a glorious setting on the south coast of the Kintyre peninsula. The course is a fine Par 66 18 hole natural links extending to 4,799 yards. High and low handicappers alike will enjoy its testing layout, the springy turf on the undulating fairways and arguably one of the finest set of greens in Scotland. Spectacular views over the landscape,

Sanda Island to the south, Ailsa Craig and Ayrshire to the east and Northern Ireland to the south west, will add to the golfer’s enjoyment of this challenging and exceptionally well maintained course.

The first ever playing of the MacSween Memorial Pairs was on Sunday 14th June 2026 at Dunaverty. Commemorating past Captains, Honorary and Life members Roddy & Marjorie MacSween with a mixed pairs Texas Scramble for the fabulous new trophy. 23 pairs competed on a beautiful day for golf with sun shining, temperatures high and a course in great condition thanks to green keepers Jonathan and Campbell. A great day was had by all finished with fantastic food from Moyra, Eve and staff at ThePuttStop and a prize-giving in the clubhouse with a loud buzz of chatter. Pictured are winners on the day Gordon MacSween and Linda Brannigan receiving the crystal trophy from Club Captain Douglas Neilson. There were also 4 nearest the pin prizes provided by Ruth MacSween. These were won by - 4th : Gordon MacSween - 2' 10", 7th : Hamish Kelly - 19' 2", 10th : Hector McMurchy - 5' 1" & 16th : Jean McMurchy - 15' 5".

"We’ve just returned to Brussels after a fantastic week in this wonderful part of Scotland, and I have to say that all of us completely fell in love with the honesty and charm of Dunaverty.

Over the years we’ve been fortunate enough to play some of the famous £500-plus courses, but Dunaverty offers something many of them cannot: genuine heart and soul. There is something truly special about the place, and somehow it has become my real golfing home.

Congratulations to Ailie MacBrayne for winning a very close run Ladies Championship 2026 and to Inez Ronald on winning the Handicap Championship. Special mention to Katharine Hardman for pushing Ailie all the way to the finish - ending up 1 shot off the title. Well done to all Ladies who participated in this years championship, especially to those who played the final round today in damp conditions.
