DEADLY DOZEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 🌍🔥

What. A. Weekend.

Head Judging at the Deadly Dozen World Championships at Crystal Palace genuinely felt like one of those career-defining moments that I’ll remember for a very long time.

Competitors from 60+ countries, an absolutely insane crowd, world-class athletes, huge performances and an atmosphere that was electric from start to finish.

And I was right there in the thick of it.

One of my proudest moments was being chosen to judge World Record Holders Rachel Hodgkinson and Natalie Crompton | HYBRID & RUNNING COACH . To be trusted with that responsibility on the biggest stage Deadly Dozen has created was a massive honour and privilege.

I absolutely love Head Judging, but weekends like this remind me that it’s about so much more than counting reps and enforcing standards.

Our volunteer judges were incredible. The energy, enthusiasm and support they brought was unreal. Long days, big pressure, plenty of shouting, plenty of laughs and a team that just got stuck in and made it happen. I’m incredibly proud to work alongside them.

And then there’s everything people don’t necessarily see.

Behind the competition floor is this brilliant little community of people who travel around, work ridiculous hours together, support each other, take the p**s out of each other, celebrate the wins and somehow become genuine friends along the way.

We’re making memories while being part of something that is growing at an unbelievable rate.

This weekend was a huge moment for Deadly Dozen.

It was also a pretty huge moment for me personally within my Head Judging role.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, proud to be trusted on that stage and very SO grateful that I get to be part of all of this.

Crystal Palace… you were absolutely insane. 🌍🔥

Next stop… Birmingham.

🌍 DEADLY DOZEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 🌍

This weekend I have the absolute honour of Head Judging the FIRST EVER Deadly Dozen World Championships at Crystal Palace! 🖤🔥

Athletes from across the world are heading to London to compete on one of the biggest stages Deadly Dozen has created — and I’ll be right in the thick of it, leading the judging team and helping make sure the racing is fair, consistent and delivered to the standard a World Championship deserves.

And I am BUZZING. 🙌

I absolutely love Head Judging these events. The pressure, the responsibility, the atmosphere, the athletes, the team behind the scenes… all of it.

To be trusted with such an important role at the inaugural World Championships means a huge amount to me, and getting to work alongside some of the very best people in the hybrid fitness world makes it even better.

From coaching it, judging it, competing in it and generally shouting VERY loudly about it… Deadly Dozen has become a pretty massive part of my world.

But this weekend hits differently.

Well… it’s OFFICIAL. 👀

DEADLY MILE WORLD RECORD HOLDER. 🌍🏆

It’s on the leaderboard. It’s there in black and white (well yellow). And I’m not going to lie…

WHOOP!! 🙌

The Deadly Mile was genuinely one of the hardest events I’ve ever done — not necessarily because of the physical side, but because of the psychological battle that came with it.

400m walking lunges.
400m burpee broad jumps.
400m bear crawls.
400m run.

All wearing a 9g ruck.

It was brutal. Hilarious. Emotional. Lonely. Exhilarating. Mind-numbing. Empowering. Ridiculous.

There were moments I felt strong as hell… and moments where 400m felt like it was approximately 17 miles long. 😂

But I did it.

1:09:00. World Record. 🌍

I came away thinking:

Right. Done it. Ticked that box. Never need to do THAT again.....

Who am I kidding?! 😂

Of COURSE I’m doing it again.

The only question is…

To ruck or not to ruck? 🤔

🌊 WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SECOND HOME! 🌊

Active Waters Wild Swimming is growing, and we’re officially on the hunt for a SECOND SITE!

We’re looking for a suitable lake or body of open water within Cambridgeshire or the surrounding counties where we can bring everything that makes Active Waters what it is — safe open water swimming, coaching, events and, most importantly, our incredible community.

So… WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Do you know a farmer with a lake?
A landowner with an underused body of water?
An estate, fishery, flooded quarry or private lake?
A new development with lakes planned?
Someone involved with a council, leisure facility or outdoor venue?

We’d love to hear about it!

We’re looking for somewhere with controlled access, potential parking and safe access to the water — but we’re very open to having conversations about locations that might have potential.

This is a really exciting next step for Active Waters and we’d love our community to help us find it.

ONE YEAR 💜

September marks one whole year of coaching at Neil Marsh Health & Fitness… and what an amazing year it’s been.

I came in wanting to coach, help people get fitter, stronger and more confident… but somewhere along the way, this place and this community have helped me grow too.

I’ve developed massively as a coach, watched athletes achieve things they didn’t think they were capable of, celebrated PBs, podiums, first races, hard sessions and those little wins that nobody else sees.

And I’ve found my own feet as an athlete too.

Over the last year I’ve thrown myself headfirst into the fitness racing world — becoming a HYBRYD Clothing Ambassador, a Deadly Dozen Master Coach and Head Judge, hosting the world’s first Deadly Swim… and discovering an absolute love (slight obsession 😆) for rucking.

There have been competitions, medals, ridiculous challenges, new ideas, opportunities I never expected and a few moments where I’ve genuinely thought, how the hell did I end up here?!

Dreams have quietly become reality.
Ideas have become actual things.
And passions I didn’t even know I had are now a massive part of my life.

But the best bit?

The people.

The Purple Army. The athletes I coach. The coaches I work alongside. The friendships. The laughs. The shouting. The support. The absolute chaos at times. 😂💜

This stopped feeling like “a job” a long time ago.

It’s my training.
My coaching.
My lifestyle.
My friends.
My family.
My community.

And I genuinely proper love it.

One year in… and I feel like I’m only just getting started. 💜

Apparently a Deadly Mile ruck wasn’t quite enough for one day… 😂

So afterwards, I joined forces with my fellow coaches from Neil Marsh Health & Fitness to take on the Women’s Relay.

And we only went and WON!! 🏆💜

This one was all about teamwork.

We worked together. We backed each other. We shouted, encouraged and supported each other through every part of it. When one of us was working, the rest of us were right there behind her.

Tired legs, tired bodies… but absolutely no shortage of Purple Army energy. 💜

That’s what I love about this team. We don’t just coach together — we train together, compete together and genuinely want to see each other do well.

From taking on my own ridiculous challenge to standing alongside these incredible women and finishing the day with a WIN… what a way to end an already unforgettable event.

We are coaches.
We are teammates.
We are THE PURPLE ARMY. 💜🏆

And when the Purple Army joins forces… apparently we’re pretty dangerous. 😂🔥

ANY full OR half day judges that want to be part of the first EVER World Championships on the weekend of the 5th & 6th September will be a complimentary track race to use before the end of the 2026 campaign.

Races still to come include

▪️Macclesfield - 12th September

▪️Birmingham - 19th September

▪️Lee Valley - 26th September

Spread the word to your family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, gyms, basically ANYONE and EVERYONE you know that wants to be part of a CELEBRATION.
