Leeds Members Trip ‘up North!’ - the course was absolutely stunning around Moortown Golf Club today for round one.. ⛳️

Slightly windy but the sun was shining, the Alister MacKenzie (who later co-designed Augusta National Golf Club) designed course has some cleverly placed bunkers around guarded greens! It’s a quality heathland course hidden in the middle of Leeds city centre..

Fab day out as a guest in the BIGGA Greenkeeper day at Southwold Golf Club ⛳️..

Loved the double 9 hole course, different tee boxes for the second 9 so really felt like you were playing a different course on some holes.

A huge well done to these lovely ladies, both who have worked with me through the winter on there game, followed up by a playing lesson together a couple weeks back - they have only gone and came second in a Golfing Days Comp!! 🏆

They throughly enjoyed the two day pair comp at Belton Woods and scored 7 pars between them!! Well done Louise & Karen! 💃🏼

MORNING THOUGHTS 😁💭…

The 6th Hole at Links Golf Club Newmarket is one of the hardest holes on the course, a fairly reasonably open tee shot, you may have gone for the green in 2 but if you haven’t I’m hoping you’ve laid up sensibly to the bunker just short of the green..

With roughly 30 yards to go (just short of the green) you’re faced with a deep bunker 🏖️ and tall pine trees 🌲 on the left blocking your entrance & facing the fear of going over in your head no doubt 😨!

Great to get away midweek to , Kent to play in the Princes 27 Hole tournament with louissavillgolf, Tom & Ollie! ⛳️

Links golf was definitely putting us to the test with 40mph gusts of wind 💨 but what a beautiful sunny day. Located in Sandwich Bay on the Kent coast, Prince’s is a 27-hole championship links course made up of three loops: Shore, Dunes, and Himalayas. It’s a historic venue, once hosting The Open Championship 🏆. This competition is made up of 3 formats, own ball, greensomes & 4BBB 🏌🏼‍♀️🏌🏼‍♂️..

Fantastic competition, company & golf - actually managed to keep the same ball all the way round which is always winning in those conditions! 😂👌🏼

Great practice round with these lovely ladies at thorpewoodgolfacademy (Thorpe Wood Golf Course) this afternoon, fab little afternoon out with some beautiful sunshine too! ⛳️

The course was in great condition, especially the lush green fairways - very impressed. Highly rated municipal golf course, definitely one to go & play if you’re in the Peterborough area 👌🏼..
