Examples of quotes from the QPR book below -
'Loftus Road gives me the feeling of being at home. Beginning with walking off the Tube at Shepherd’s Bush Market or White City and knowing straight away that this is where I belong. The walk down the Uxbridge Road, The White Horse and the Crown and Sceptre to name but a few elements of my habitual journey with my Dad Martin to Loftus Road. Walking through the streets of West London with the floodlights peering over the old long-standing houses and imagining the impending joy and passion to come; alongside several thousand like-minded folk who each have their own pre match rituals, just like mine. All of us there, week in week out, for our one unanimous love'

'I’ve been coming to Loftus Road for over. 50 years as a supporter , 20 of those years as an employee too and it is safe to say it is like a second home . As I walk around the empty stadium or sit in the stands eating lunch I often reflect and revisit memories of players and matches long gone . It’s sometimes hard to believe that the echoing stands and emptiness are filled with such noise and warmth from the QPR family on a matchday. It is a very special place to anyone who has QPR in their dna'

'My first ever trip to Loftus Road was an unremarkable 0-0 draw against Watford. 12 April 1982. But my abiding memory of the game is of a bloke in the South Africa Road Stand taking great exception to the style of football deployed by Graham Taylor's side and then spending 90 minutes letting him know - using words that a seven year old football obsessive had never heard before. I was hooked!

Modern-day football stadia may have more legroom, better beer on offer at half-time, plumbing that works when more than 10 people wash their hands at the same time, but none of them come close to an energy-charged Loftus Road. Standing in the pouring rain watching a rare FA Cup tie win over Arsenal, Paul Furlong's winner against Oldham in the play-off semi final, the sense of joy, relief and tearful delight when the Championship title was lifted in 2011 are all memories that will live with me forever'
