Today, two of our youth players travelled to Hildenborough in Kent to play with the Buccaneers Baseball Travel Team in the Margaret Borley Memorial Cup tournament playing games against the Tonbridge Bobcats Alumni and Hurricanes Youth Baseball - it was a brilliant day of baseball: great representing, Talha and Oliver 😍

The Royals hosted the Bristol Buccaneers from Bristol Baseball Club in the BBF Div 4 quarter final yesterday. It was closely fought game with the Royals taking the win and through to the semi-finals ⚾💪⚾ Thank you Buccs for a great day of baseball!

The Royals next face Plymouth Outlaws Baseball on 13th September - first pitch 12pm. Spectators warmly welcomed.

On Saturday we are hosting the BBF Division 4 Quarter Final where the Cambridge Royals will take on the Bristol Buccaneers from Bristol Baseball Club . First pitch is at 12pm, with 9 innings to be played. It promises to be a great game, and spectators are warmly invited to come and watch. It's being held on the Dave Adams Field at Coldhams Common - we look forward to seeing you there!

The Cambridge Baseball Club is wishing three of its Atom Smashers Jan, Jon and Will the very best of luck tomorrow as they take to the field with the London Monarchs Baseball in the final of the Summer Emotions Tournament in Cervignano, Italy! 🏆

The tournament is hosted by Cervignano Baseball e Softball ASD

Joe Cosgrove of the London Mets and Irish National Team was back in Cambridge on Friday to work with another small group of Atom Smashers!⚾️

Coach Joe put them through tough drills focused on:
⚾️ Footwork
⚾️ Coordination
⚾️ Timing
⚾️ Body posture
⚾️ Correct sequencing in their swings

Our young athletes came away with a better understanding of how to be a more consistent defender while also improving the mechanics of their swings. They also took home a series of drills that they can do at home. Cambridge coaches learned how to be a more effective coach as well!

Over the past month, we’ve been incredibly lucky to have Laura Hirai in Cambridge, delivering three pitching clinics every week! ⚾️

Coach Laura worked with our newer, developing and more experienced pitchers, helping them:
⚾️ Improve their pitching mechanics through targeted drills
⚾️ Incorporate off-speed pitches without tipping
⚾️ Develop their pitcher defence
⚾️ Understand how to take their game to the next level

Every pitcher also received tailored feedback to help them continue developing beyond the sessions.

An amazing 23 of our players attended at least one clinic, with the majority attending two or more. What a fantastic turnout and a brilliant opportunity for our young pitchers!

A huge thank you, Coach Laura! 👏 We’re so grateful for the time, knowledge and enthusiasm you’ve shared with our players.

And finally, good luck to Laura and the GB Women’s Team in Taiwan later this month! 🇬🇧⚾️ We’ll be cheering you on all the way! 💪

It’s a great chance to get out on the diamond, play some baseball and have a bit of fun on a Thursday evening.

On 28th July we had the great pleasure of welcoming the Mayor of Cambridge to our stand at the "GET MOVING CAMBRIDGE 26" event at Coldham’s Common. Our very own Dave Adams gave her a one-to-one baseball lesson - we may have a new convert to the sport! Thank you for another great event! We will be at two more events over the coming weeks:

Tues 11th August (10am-2pm) - St Alban’s Recreation Ground
Tues 18th August (10am-2pm) - Coleridge Recreation Ground
