Dear Customers

Bottisham Swimming Pool – Summer Closure

You may be aware that we have been working hard to recruit a permanent centre manager for Bottisham Leisure Centre for some time. Disappointingly, we have not yet been able to successfully appoint a new person to this position.

While the current requirements are being covered by other members of the management team, we have needed to review our staffing levels over the summer months to ensure we can fulfil our health and safety obligations and responsibilities to our staff and customers.

After reviewing this, and with some unexpected additional staff absence during this time, we will regrettably need to close the swimming pool at Bottisham from 20th July until the new school year. We fully expect the pool will reopen again at some point during the first half term of the new school year.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this decision may cause. We are only making this decision in the interest of operating the swimming pool safely for all users.

All other fitness and sporting facilities will remain open during the summer.

For those of you who have pool memberships, you will be able to use the swimming pool at Sawston during these times.

For those of you who have swimming pool bookings during this period, we are also contacting you directly.

If the situation changes during this period and we can reopen the pool earlier than anticipated, we will let you know
