MGOC Race Championship

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the state of the UK economy, the MGOC Championship continues to prosper with most of the regular drivers from 2013 expected return for another year and a healthy number of Novices and recruits from other Championships joining in to bolster the grids. With close to full grids expected

at most meetings the racing will be as close and competitive as ever with action right through the field. The drivers in the MGOC Championship are renowned for delivering action packed racing and MGOC members are cordially invited to come along to the circuits and watch the action and meet the drivers.. About the MGOC Championship

The MGOC Championship, now in its 35th successful season offers exhilarating Club racing both for the competitor and spectator alike. As a result of our association with the British Automobile Racing Club, the series visits most of the major race circuits throughout the UK. The MGOC Championship is an ideal entry to motor racing and the Regulations have been set to prohibit expensive modifications allowing entry at modest outlay with only the essential safety requirements needed to race your MG. If you are considering racing your MG or are just interested in spectating, the Championship offers excellent value for money and great entertainment with some of the closest hard fought racing in British Club motor sport. There are five classes:

Class A for MGB, MGB GT, MG Midget, Austin Healey Sprite. Class F for MGF 1.8 VVC

Class Z for MG ZR 160, MG ZS160

We head to Oulton park in 3 weeks time and already have a massive grid, with vital championship points up for grabs this will not be one you want to miss out on!

A question around the ZR world has always been how fast could a pro driver go in a ZR, how far off are our drivers? Well we will soon see when Ex BTCC Champion , 2x British GT Champion , 2x Porsche Carrera Cup Champion and Co - Commentator of the BTCC Tim Harvey takes his space on the grid in a couple of weeks.

Also talks of former champions returning for this huge event and we can’t wait for what will be a fantastic weekend 🏆
