DIARIES AT THE READY!

Kodiaks 1 fixtures are out and it's less that 2 weeks until we start our second season in WNIHL 1.

Our home opener is on Saturday 24th October as we welcome Chelmsford Cobras to Cambridge Ice Arena, ending the home games on 17th April against
league and playoff champs Swindon Topcats.

Other notable homes include back to back home games in November against league newcomers Haringey Greyhounds

This season features a mixture of face off times for both our teams but, also four double headers with Kodiaks 2 where you can watch two games for the price of one.

Tickets for this season Kodiaks 1 games are as below...

£6 - Adults (14+)
£4 - Concessions (seniors. students & bluelight card)
£3 - Child (U14)
£15 - Family (x2 Adults & x2 Children)

Tomorrow, we will announce Kodiaks 2's fixtures and prices.

Our season starts in just under two weeks, as head to Chelmsford on Sunday 20th September for a 12:15 face off. We end our season back in Essex on Sunday the 8th of May.

Most away games will be free of charge, unless stated by the home team.

We hosted our annual end of season party at the wonderful The Tivoli, to celebrate a successful first season in WNIHL 1 and the debut season for Kodiaks 2.

The Kodiaks play their final game of the season this Sunday as they travel to Coventry. After several close encounters between the two sides this season, another exciting matchup is expected.

Face off is at 18:00 at Planet Ice Coventry.

GAME DAY!

For the final time this season, Kodiaks 1 take to the ice as we finish the season where it started, in Slough against the Fire Bees.

Come join us as we look to cap off a successful first season in WNIHL 1.

In the first of their two-game weekend, the Kodiaks hosted Coventry. A strong start from the visitors saw them take a 2–0 lead in the opening period, and they carried that momentum into the second, adding a third before the Kodiaks responded. Rachel Coleman and Nat Piotrowicz combined well to set up the goal and get the Kodiaks on the scoresheet. Despite battling hard throughout, the Kodiaks were unable to capitalise on their chances, while Coventry proved clinical in front of goal, taking an 8–1 victory.

The second game of the weekend saw the Kodiaks face Milton Keynes. It was the Kodiaks who opened the scoring, with Nat Piotrowicz and Tallulah Green linking up to set up Scarlett Shelton. Milton Keynes responded on the power play to level the game, but the determined Kodiaks struck back through captain Sophie Heather, who fired home an unassisted goal.

Heading into the final period with everything still to play for, both teams battled hard in an entertaining contest. Milton Keynes eventually came away with a 4–2 win, but it was a valiant effort from the Kodiaks throughout.

Kodiaks held by dogged Topcats.

Cambridge had another frustrating night in front of goal for the final game at and this season. Despite heavy outshooting the league winners, fell behind twice before Chloe Carter equalised with 23 seconds remaining. Earning her the player of the game award.

We have one last trip to wrap up our season, as we return to where it all started in September against the Fire Bees this Saturday.

Face-off at Slough Ice Arena is at 13:15 and entry to the game is Free.
