In the first of their two-game weekend, the Kodiaks hosted Coventry. A strong start from the visitors saw them take a 2–0 lead in the opening period, and they carried that momentum into the second, adding a third before the Kodiaks responded. Rachel Coleman and Nat Piotrowicz combined well to set up the goal and get the Kodiaks on the scoresheet. Despite battling hard throughout, the Kodiaks were unable to capitalise on their chances, while Coventry proved clinical in front of goal, taking an 8–1 victory.
The second game of the weekend saw the Kodiaks face Milton Keynes. It was the Kodiaks who opened the scoring, with Nat Piotrowicz and Tallulah Green linking up to set up Scarlett Shelton. Milton Keynes responded on the power play to level the game, but the determined Kodiaks struck back through captain Sophie Heather, who fired home an unassisted goal.
Heading into the final period with everything still to play for, both teams battled hard in an entertaining contest. Milton Keynes eventually came away with a 4–2 win, but it was a valiant effort from the Kodiaks throughout.
