South Cambs Amblers WFC Walking Football Club for the over 50s - where player safety comes first

In the last couple of weeks, our Monday Night Walking Footballers have donated £250 to Cambridge United’s Community Trust to continue their support for the disability football sessions run by Phil Mullen, a second donation of £250 to Cambridge Street Aid, and a third £250 to the DEC Turkey Syria Earthquake Appeal. A massive thank you to all the players.

Some time ago I expressed frustration at not being able to change this page from South Cambs Amblers WFC to Cambourne Town WFC. I've followed the instructions from FB, and sought advice from a social media marketing professional and FB still says NO! This is my bodged attempt. At my age you never know how many hours you have left so I'm wasting no more on this task. I guess it's quirky.

Great turnout for our new Over 50s Walking Football session at Cambourne held on Friday mornings. Half of the players were in their 70s, a third in their 60s and there were a couple of youngsters in their 50s. Most of the group had never played football before.
It’s a brilliant way to get some exercise, meet new friends and socialise. New players always welcome – but be warned once you start it’s difficult to stop!
