This is the first week back for most of the club, with the exception of JPL teams, who started last week.
💙Cambourne Town U8 Gold Lions ⚪🔵
What a fantastic start to the season from our Little Lions! 🦁⚽️🔥
The most pleasing part of the performance wasn’t the result or the goals—it was seeing how brilliantly the boys supported, encouraged and praised one another throughout the game. They worked tirelessly as a team, celebrated each other’s successes and showed amazing togetherness from the first whistle to the last.

💙Cambourne Blue U11💙
Cambourne Blue started their U11 campaign with a great result against Exning. With goals from:

A fantastic start to the season, with some really positive football played by everyone. There were plenty of individual performances that deserve a special mention this week.
Riagan – Your best performance for us on the left wing so far! You were positive going forward and worked hard for the team. You also made a very positive cameo in goal during the first half. 🎉
Zac – Excellent on the right wing. You showed a great understanding of when to attack and, importantly, when to recover and provide defensive cover after we lost possession. 💪
Mark – A really solid defensive performance alongside Liam and Michael. You also showed great composure on the ball, looking to play through midfield. ⭐️
MOTM – Jacob 🏆
Your goals ultimately won us the match, but it was the way you scored them that made your performance so enjoyable to watch. You danced through the Exning defence, rode some tough tackles and showed excellent composure with your finishing.
Your diagonal balls to bring the wingers into the game were excellent too. A really complete attacking performance. 🫡
Most importantly, everyone played well and played to their strengths.
The biggest positive taken from the team’s resolve – going from leading comfortably, then Exning rallying well to draw level and then coming out and dominating the second half showed real character, belief and determination. That is exactly the kind of attitude we want to build on this season.
A brilliant team effort and a fantastic way to get the U11 campaign underway.
💜U13 Girls – JPL💜
Huge congratulations to the girls, who put in a fantastic performance this morning to secure a 10–3 victory over .
Capital Girls made a very quick start and took the early lead. The Cambourne girls responded brilliantly.
Gracie stepped up with a superb free kick into the bottom corner to make it 1–1, and from there the girls really found their rhythm.
And then came the hat-tricks… 👀

Credit to Capital Girls, who never stopped competing and continued to create opportunities throughout the game. They have some very good players and certainly made us work for the result.
🏆 Player of the Match: Gracie Gray
A superb all-round performance. Her work rate, vision and positioning were exceptional, and she played a huge part in controlling the game.
There were also some excellent moments from Molly & Martha, particularly in their decision-making when starting attacks from the back, alongside some important saves.
Every game will bring a different challenge, and we're looking forward to seeing this group continue to grow.
💙Cambourne U14 Blue💙
Cambourne U14 Blue got their League campaign off to a brilliant start with a 2-0 home win against Witchford U14 Blue!
Cambourne dominated the first half, playing on the front foot, using the width well and keeping Witchford pinned back. Two goals from Manuel, assisted by Josh and Lewis, gave Cambourne a deserved 2-0 lead at the break.
Witchford came back stronger after half-time, but Cambourne stayed solid to secure the win and a clean sheet.
⭐ Man of the Match: Mendel ⭐
A great display in the centre defensive midfield role, breaking up attacks, winning the ball back and restarting play with clever distribution.
A great performance from the Blues and the perfect start to the season!

DK Performance 1-2 U14 Purple JPL
We had a minute's silence for a former teammate. Josh Davies sadly lost his battle with cancer last Monday.
Josh was one of the original players when we put the team together, scoring 5 in our first-ever league game in the Royston Crow League.
He was a big player for us whilst he was here and a big personality.
A real battler.
Our heart goes out to his family.
Rest in peace, Josh. 💙🙏
⚽️ A very emotional start to yesterday, but the boys dug in and showed their class. Massive respect to DK, whose parents and sponsors raised over £200 to donate to a charity that Josh's family have chosen.
⚽Senior Ladies⚽
The senior ladies started their league today with a 4-0 win over Burwell. Clean sheet in goal and goals from Carmen Herridge, Michelle Reynolds and 2 from Faye Hudson.
⚽Senior Men⚽
Senior men have had back-to-back league wins, giving them the perfect start to the season, with a 2-0 win against Wilbrahams. Both goals were from George Hodgkins, bringing his total for the club to 100 and 6 goals scored in 2 games.
