🔴⚫ FIRST TEAM PROMOTION! ⚫🔴

Last night’s St Piran’s League AGM confirmed the promotion of our men’s first team to the Premier Division for the 2026-27 season.

While this is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved with the first team, it is also an important moment for our youth section and the future of the club.

One of our key aims is to provide young players with a clear pathway from youth football into the adult game. We are especially proud that so many former youth players and current youth coaches have played a part in this first team success and the support given to it by our the Reserves XI, demonstrating what can be achieved through commitment, hard work and a strong connection to the club.

Competing at a higher level strengthens that pathway and helps create opportunities for the future. It gives us greater scope to continue developing our adult section, with the aim of introducing additional teams at different levels in the years ahead.

For our young players, that means more opportunities to enjoy their football, continue their development and remain part of the club as they move into adult football. It also gives more of our most talented young players the opportunity to fulfil their potential at the club they have grown up with, rather than feeling they need to move elsewhere to take the next step in their football journey.

We want every young person who joins our club to feel that there is a place for them here for years to come — whether as a player, coach, official or volunteer.

This promotion is an exciting step forward, not just for the first team, but for the future of the entire club. ❤️🖤

🛑 Grouter Park Pitches 🛑

After an amazing 193 games played on them for the 25/26 season the pitches at Grouter park will now be out of bounds until further notice so they can have a well earned rest and under go a maintenance period, to ensure the continued great playing surfaces for our teams to play on next season.

I think it goes without saying a massive thanks to our grounds team also for all the hard work to make our pitches as amazing as they are. We really are lucky to have you! The pitch inspections in the rain at 7am before anyone has even woken up to make sure they are playable and safe for all games, before and after work and everything in between!

🏆 U12s League Cup Finals 🏆

This Sunday (May 24th) concludes our cup finals for the season, with four exciting match-ups between the U12 West divisions and U12 Girls Premiership teams.

Changing rooms and refreshments should be available at Wendron United FC for the teams and supporters.

⚽️Our very own U12s Troon Eagles team are getting ready to take on a very muddy run -all for someone incredibly special to us.

We’ve set up a JustGiving page to support our amazing former coach, Mica, as she bravely battles breast cancer. She’s given so much to this team over the years, and now it’s our turn to give something back.

Expect mud, laughter, teamwork, and a lot of determination as the boys get stuck in for a great cause 💪

👏 Silent Support Weekend at Troon AFC Youth ⚽

This weekend our teams proudly took part in Silent Support Weekend, and what a fantastic job everyone did!

The idea is simple:
• Spectators applaud only
• Coaches communicate with players
• Let the kids play and enjoy their football

It was brilliant to see players focusing on the game, coaches guiding from the sidelines, and parents fully getting behind the spirit of the weekend -even joining in with the silence! 🙌

A huge thank you to all our coaches, players, and parents for supporting this initiative and helping create such a positive environment for our young footballers.

Weekends like this show exactly what youth football should be about - fun, respect, and letting the kids play the game they love 🔴 ⚫️
