SO. MUCH. PRIDE. 🥰

Last night Cornwall RFU recognised local league-winning clubs, and Camborne Women walked away with silverware to remember:

🏆 The Pioneer Cup - league winners, plus our winners' plaque

🏆 The Alan Barbary Memorial Trophy (1976) - awarded for the best win/games-played ratio in the league

And here's the history bit: this is the first time EVER a WOMEN'S TEAM has won the Alan Barbary Trophy. 🎉

Another milestone for Camborne Women's Rugby and a serious dose of motivation heading into pre-season. If this doesn't get you fired up, nothing will.

Huge thanks to our incredible coaches, our fantastic team and everyone behind the scenes who makes this club what it is.

Big congratulations to Cornwall Women’s coach Ronan O’Neill.

After the highs of the county season, helping Cornwall Women win the Gill Burns Division 2 title and retain the Tamar Cup, Ronan had even more to celebrate with his club side, Camborne Women’s Rugby.

Camborne were presented with the Pioneer Cup for winning NC3, as well as the Alan Barbury Cup for the best league ratio.

Tonight he got to put all the trophies together, a proud moment and a huge well done to Ronan, Camborne Women and everyone involved in such a fantastic season. 👏🏆🏉

What a weekend to be a Cornish rugby fan! 🖤💛

A massive congratulations to both the Cornwall women's and men's teams on incredible victories - what an achievement, and what a proud moment for the county.

We couldn't be more excited to shine a spotlight on our own Camborne Women who were part of the Cornwall campaign. From early training sessions and friendlies, through to cup games and qualifiers, it's been an amazing journey to watch. We are so incredibly proud of every single one of our teammates who pulled on that Cornwall shirt and represented Town. And of course to our very own coach, Ronan, you must be ecstatic and we are so happy to be going into another season with you at the helm!

Special mention to our vice captain, Cash, who was selected for today's squad as well as our friend from Jess - we know you'll smash it! Shout out to our coach Ronan as well as Madie and Michelle, who have both been part of the Cornwall women's campaign!

Well done to the fantastic team who won their semi-final match at the weekend - meaning they're off to Twickenham at the weekend for the Gill Burns County Champs Division 2 FINAL!

Special shout out to our gals, Ronan and Noah for flying the Camborne flag 🍒🤍

If you can make it to London on Saturday, please go and cheer on these wonderful women - the first Cornish women's team to play at Rugby's most famous ground. If not - just us at Camborne RFC (nearly as iconic) to catch the action, as we'll be streaming the game in the clubhouse.
