Troon win by 105 runs.

Our first win of the season came this weekend with a solid win away to St Erme.

Loosing the toss we were put into bat on a green track.
Openers Dale and Ant were looking good right upto the point they both got out.
Enter captain fantastic. Rodds played a classic rodda innings, didn't hit many, found the fielders with every shot, pulled both hammys and even fell over but somehow managed to score a fantastic century! In all seriousness he played fantastic and held our innings together. With some serious extras, and a few other contributions we ended up 208 all out.

After a very late tea we took to the field.
Promoted to opening the bowling Dale W took 2 wickets in the opening over.
Brother Kian went for tap in his first spell during a brief spell where out hosts looked to counter back.
Enter Amu and once again Rodds. Some great bowling in tandem stopped our hosts scoring freely. Amu again in amongst the wickets.
Kian then came on for a 2nd spell and took 3 wickets in a short period, bowling St Erme out for 103.

Figures of 3-23 for dale, 3-21 for Amu and 3-41 for Kian. Adam ending with fine figures of 1-12, including getting hit for 6 of his 9 overs!

A fantastic team effort lead by captain Adam.

Troon 139 A.O

Mullion win by 8 runs.

Travelling to a hot Mullion we lost the toss and were put into field.
Opening bowlers Kian and Dale P bowled tight lines and kept the run rate down. We took our first wicket with a fine catch from Dale W off brother Kian's bowling.
First change bowlers Adam and Dale W soon took regular wickets along with another fine spell from Amu.
Openers Kian and Dale returned to complete the innings bowling out our hosts for what seemed a below par 147.
Pick of the bowlers was Dale W taking 4-37

Openers Dale W and Ant batted on a difficult slow pitch but unfortunately wickets began to fall.
With Mullion bowling well we found it difficult to score freely with quick wickets falling for little runs added to the total.
Captain Adam dug in with real determination along with Saurabh, and took it to the wire. Unfortunately we were not able to complete what felt like a come back and ultimately loosing by 8 runs.

Next week we welcome Camborne 3rds to Treslothan as we continue to seek that elusive first win of the season.

Tough week this week with back to back defeats in the Andrew cup and the league on Saturday. Lessons will be learnt and we will bounce back this Saturday when we face Mullion away.
