ROUND 6 took us to the very unpredictable weathers of West Bay.
Saturday - Race 1 we managed to take the lead from the start and keep it there meaning we finished 1st place and took the chequered flag 🏁
Race 2- we were doing well with the wind picking up and changing directions but this time had Aqua Blast hot on our tail and after a silly mistake under pressure, they managed to sneak past and take the take the win...2nd place battle we were neck and neck with Smokey and the Bandit but we just managed to pip them to the post and came second with just 5 seconds in it!
Unfortunately bad weather and high winds forced Sundays races to be voided but meant that we got a 1st place for the weekend as the first race on Saturday was longer than the second.
We celebrated our win and navigator Barbara's birthday that afternoon with some great mates enjoying some much needed down time in the pubs, arcades and eating 🎂 cake! As always we had a great weekend and thank everyone involved for their efforts and hard work!
We are now holding a position in the end of year championships so that means next month for our final races 🏁 we need to continue to battle it out and get on that podium again.
Now to pull a finger out doing some repairs and get the boat race ready for a couple weeks time. Wish us luck 🙏

ROUND 4 LIVERPOOL
This weekend we took ourselves to a very wet Liverpool with a new boat and a new nav.
First day, we did well placing 2nd and 3rd but because of my misunderstanding(twice!)of the course we received penalty points dropping us to a 4th and 5th place.
Second day we knew we had to do brilliantly to make a podium position and we pulled it off!! We placed 1st on both race 3 and 4 making us position 3rd for the whole weekend.
Absolutely thrilled with the new boat and Barbara our new nav for her first race weekend (sorry for the bruises 😢)
Big thanks as always to all the organisers and officials who make these awesome weekends happen. A special thanks to Dale for his months of planning and organising too. Weather was rubbish but you can't have it all as they say!
We look forward to seeing you all very soon to do all again for round 5 at Caernarfon 😊

Dunoon Event 2022
This was the best and worst for us yet!!
In race 1 we were running well, keeping ahead of the pack (apart from 55) and positioning 2nd!! We thought we were going to get our dream of a podium position before the end of 2022 season but it wasn't to be, with catastrophic engine failure on the 3rd lap of race 2 meaning we were out of the game 😭
A seized piston caused the conrod to go through the side of the block
Hopefully a new engine has been found and we will be all ready for Cardiff in 4 weeks 😀

So last weekend we were in beautuful Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
The racing was flat and fast...we had the best race of the year yet.
James goldsmith stood in as nav for us at short notice and we were super grateful! Cheers James!
Unfortunately the second race on day 1 didn't end so well, with little did we know at the time, a wiring fault to the control box causing the engine to conk out and not restart meaning we had to retire 😢
Working hard that evening and Sunday morning we found the fault and were back in the game! YES!
Positioning 5th instead of our usual 7th place throughout the three races we were super happy!
We came away with a beautiful trophy for concours d'elegance, well chuffed! Thanks goes to everyone who helped us with the boat issues and to all who made the event happen.
Looking forward to afew weeks off now until we are racing again at Dunoon, Scotland.
