Great to see the Army lift the Madden Bowl for the winners of the Services Offshore Regatta for yet another year. It was a close run thing with the RNSA pushing us all the way. Was not helped with a delay of 4 hours to the offshore race from Cowes as British Army Offshore Racing Team decided to play with the spinnaker in a unique seamanship way! Well done to FBS not only for competing in the round Britain and Ireland race but also for their concerted efforts in international Owl rescue. The team whilst competing also took time out to rescue, a rather nautically challenged owl. Glad to say that the Owl seems to have survived its ordeal. Hopefully FBS are looking forward to surviving their herculian efforts in rounding the Islands. "Not all heroes wear capes" a quote to remember (crate WN).
