Whether the snow is freshly fallen or a few days / weeks old, snow running is not ideal for a speed workout.

In fact, these are the runs to track your effort by time and just ignore the distance. The benefit? When the snow melts, you will be surprised by how strong you feel.

Running in snow is almost like running with weights on your feet and you will be light and quick in the future. The best places to run on snow are in packed snow, on dirt trails, in the grass.
These surfaces provide additional traction so you are less apt to slip and slide when running through the snow.

I don't mind running in light sun showers, but not in the cold windy rain. The sky is almost all overcast most of the year where I use to run. I thought it’s hardest weather to run. But I found out it can be harder to run in hot weather than in cold weather for several reasons. First, the body has to work harder to cool itself down in hot temperatures, which can lead to dehydration and heat exhaustion. Additionally, hot weather can also make it harder to breathe, as the air is typically more humid in hot temperatures. Stay hydrated, we do get dehydrated easier when running in the heat.

Just 30 minutes walk every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. Walking is one of the best ways to shed belly fat. Just 150 minutes of brisk walking a week--about 20 minutes a day--can shrink your belly by about 1 inch/ 2.54 centimetres in 4 weeks.

Is it more efficient to walk or run up a steep hill?
While the answer relies on your aerobic fitness level and the steepness of the hill you encounter, switching back and forth between walking and running, based on your rate of perceived exertion, may be your best bet.
Incorporating hill repeats into your regular training will also help hills feel easier in general.

It doesn’t matter how far or fast you go, that first km is always the toughest. The main reason that the first km or so of any run feels slow and ponderous is because you’re taking your body from an anaerobic state to an aerobic one. Over time, your body actually catches up to the increased demands of the faster-paced activity, and things naturally start to get easier.

SWEET POTATO BROWNIES

INGREDIENTS

Makes 16 brownies

1 ripe avocado
1 cup (275g) cold sweet potato puree. To make the sweet potato puree, wrap a sweet potato in foil and bake it in a 190 degrees C oven for about 35-40 minutes or until soft. Allow to cool completely, remove peel and puree.
½ cup (120g) unsweetened apple sauce
¼ cup (45 g) date paste
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
4 eggs
1/4 cup (4 tbsp) coconut flour
½ cup (60 g) cacao powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ cup (65 g) raw pecans, coarsely chopped
Icing
¼ cup (45 g) date paste
½ cup (125 g) all natural hazelnut butter
¼ cup (30 g) cacao powder
2 tbsp raw honey
½ cup (120g) full fat coconut milk

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat your oven to 190 degrees C.Grease a 9” (23cm) square baking pan with coconut oil and line pan with parchment paper, leaving enough extra to extend over the sides.
In the bowl of your food processor, combine avocado, sweet potato puree, unsweetened applesauce, date paste and vanilla and process until smooth and creamy. Add cacao powder and again, process until smooth.
Add eggs, one at at time, processing until smooth between each addition.
In a large mixing bowl, add coconut flour, arrowroot flour and baking soda and stir with a wisk until well combined then add to your food processor and, you guessed it, process until smooth.
Add pecans and pulse a few times just to mix them in.
Transfer to your prepared pan. Spread batter evenly and bake for approximately 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out almost clean.
Set brownies on a wire rack to cool for 15-20 minutes then transfer to fridge to cool completely, about an hour.
Prepare the icing by adding all the ingredients to the bowl of your food processor and process until smooth and creamy.
Pour over brownies and spread evenly with a spatula.
Place the brownies in the fridge and chill completely, at least 8 hours, preferably overnight. Sprinkle with a handful of coarsely chopped pecans, if desired. Cut into squares.
These brownies seem to get even better and richer tasting after sitting in the fridge for a few days...

Her goals was to get fit, lose fat and reduce stress and she did just that.She has made incredible progress with 3-4 days outdoor running and 1 -2 hours PT gym sessions /week. She lost 2,5 stones/16kg she reached her goal to be 11 stone/70kg. Losing weight, getting in shape doesn't have to feel miserable and you don’t need to put everything else on hold to make it work.
