Let us become the generation who DO confront diet culture rather than conform to it. โฃ

Let us prevent the generation of young girls after us from believing it is their lifeโ€™s purpose to constantly try and make themselves smaller. โฃ

Take up space. โฃ

So simple, yet incredibly effective. โฃ

Empowering clients this way and supporting them to have the belief that they can achieve their goals is an underrated and often overlooked aspect of coaching. โฃ

Next on my list of pretty useless abilities: โฃ

Yep, theyโ€™re pull ups on two fingers ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚โฃ
โฃ
But seriously, being able to do these kinds of things is pretty cool. โฃ
โฃ
Itโ€™s amazing when we step back and take a look, what our bodies are actually capable of. โฃ
โฃ
This kind of thinking helps to frame my mindset when it is so easy to slip into the narrative of โ€œI canโ€™t be botheredโ€, or โ€œIโ€™m too busy/tired/etcโ€. โฃ
โฃ
Although I, admittedly, am quick to criticise my body, (I also make excuses), I do make sure I frequently practise gratitude. โฃ
โฃ
My body is pretty amazing and I am incredibly fortunate that it allows me to do things like this. โฃ
โฃ
I remind myself that this isnโ€™t the case for many people; how lucky am I that my body is strong, healthy and capable?! โฃ
โฃ
So, if you do find yourself falling into the narrative of exercise feeling like a chore, repeat after me:โฃ
โฃ
I donโ€™t HAVE to do this, I GET to do this. โฃ
โฃ
Note: Exercise doesnโ€™t look the same for everyone, find any kind of movement that brings you joy, and do that ๐Ÿ’œโฃ
