Here's the third and final instalment of my Rimini adventure, enjoy.
Shared a taxi back to the hotel as I didn't fancy being a sardine again. Only time for a quick shower then had to meet for dinner. I made the schoolboy error of laying down and thinking ill just have 5 minutes, over an hour later, still there. Power nap did me good though as I knew we'd be out till late. Had a lovely meal, eventually as we didn't sit down to eat till about 10! Plenty of beer time though. After dinner headed back to a "British pub" next to the hotel for a couple more beers, then the jaeger bombs started! Stayed for one more then headed to the room as I knew it would be game over for Saturday otherwise, aren't I a clever boy then.
Saturday 11th May.
Day 2.
Woke up a bit later this morning with a lovely hangover, ill need to sweat this out today! Dragged myself out of bed, got ready and headed out for a wander as its a beautiful sunny day in Italia. Sat here in the sunshine waiting for everyone, enjoying a fresh cup of coffee. Man I need this today, shady head, very shady!
Met up with "the gang" and headed off to Rimini wellness for day 2 of noise and sweat!! Eventually after a couple of mix ups, climbed aboard real Ryder for round 2, and attempted to sweat this hangover away, didn't work lol. It's worth mentioning at this point that yesterday was a 45min class with Fabio and I managed to burn 640 calories and got up to 88% of max hr, today was a 30min class with Juliano and I managed 312 calories and got up to 92% of max. I felt it a lot more today, but that was partly the class and partly the copious amounts of alcohol consumed last night! Never again!! Till next time anyway haha. Spent the rest of the day spending money on cool t-shirts and chilling in the sun while it lasted. Going to try out a posture class on the real Ryder at 5pm so we'll see what that's like.
So the postural class was very similar to the earlier one but with a few extra moves and a higher intensity. It was the same teacher(Juliano) who was very good, great core strength. He made it very tough but a lot of fun too, I managed to get up to 94% o max this time and burned just over 500 calories, which I needed to after the amount of delicious Italian pizza I've munched this weekend!! Back at the hotel now, sat on my balcony overlooking the Adriatic Sea listening to some mellow tunes, chillin before we head out for our last meal here.
It's been a great trip, I've met some great people, had fun on the real Ryder, also sweated my ass off! I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to come out here and experience my first but certainly not last fitness expo. It's so nice to be around so many positive people who love fitness/training/being healthy. It's really motivational and has inspired me to be better than I am, to train harder, to be more determined to have the courage and discipline to achieve my goals both with my physique and in business. Here's a favourite quote from the late, great Bruce Lee "If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits! There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there. You must go beyond them."
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more events, articles and advice coming soon.
Yours in fitness,
