Frimley Lodge Park is a 24 hectare site in Surrey Heath, maintained by Surrey Heath Borough Council, that boasts a range of facilities for all ages, and hosts events for all the family. Its unspoilt natural beauty and character continues to attract large numbers of visitors to its woodland and open space, picnic areas, two children's playgrounds, a trim trail, miniature railway and meadows. There

are also football and cricket pitches and a pitch and putt course available to hire. The Basingstoke canal runs along the eastern boundary with a towpath and lots of space, woodland, cafeteria, miniature railway and pitch & putt course. Frimley Lodge Park is a very attractive venue for everyone looking for quiet recreation or organised activity. There is a resident Parks Officer and the Council's contractors provide fulltime attendance. Our Parks Officer also works with volunteers and provides a programme of educational walks and events. Unfortunately there've been recent number plate thefts from the park's car park - please report any suspicious behaviour to Surrey Police via 101, online or 999 in an emergency.

We have received two reports of number plate theft from vehicles parked in Frimley Lodge Park, Frimley Green in recent weeks.

The first occurred between 10am and 1.30pm on Monday, 4 May, with the second taking place yesterday (Sunday, 31 May), between 11am and 2.30pm.

Our investigations into both of these reports are ongoing and local officers are increasing visible patrols in the area.

Please report any suspicious behaviour to us via 101, online via our Suspicious Activity Portal. In an emergency, or if you see a crime taking place, call 999.

⚠️Important guidance throughout this warm weather

As we welcome everyone to the Basingstoke Canal to enjoy the warmer weather this Bank Holiday weekend, we would like to offer a reminder about the increased risk of wildfire due to high temperatures and dry ground.

❌ Please remember that BBQs/open fires are not allowed on the canal banks and picnic areas, and please ensure that cigarette ends are disposed of safely.

🔥 If you do spot a fire please call 999 and use What3Words to give a precise location to the Fire Service.

🚯 Visitors are reminded to take all litter home as it can harm wildlife, and glass bottles etc increase the risk of fire.

🏊🏻 Finally, although you may be looking for ways to keep cool, swimming in the canal is not allowed, due to the high risk of contracting Weil's Disease as well as risk of injury from moving boats and underwater obstacles.
