On Sunday I got back from a great weekend in ilfracombe, Devon. Was a brilliant weekend with some amazing company. We arrived Thursday night so went out for a practice to get ready for the morning. On the Friday I was playing in the womenโs British pentathlon, was a great experience and hopefully will get the chance to play in such a great event again. I started the day off well getting some good results against some class players. Then slowly started getting a bit tired as was such a long day of non stop darts (see first photo below). My aim was to not finish bottom and get a few wins and I did exactly that. Was sat at 10th at one point but dropped down after a few bad results, a few highlights was winning a game of 501 2-0 against a girl who finished in 5th, Was a good game and then playing Rhian Oโsullivan in a game of 501 best of 2 and I lost 2-0 but should have taken a leg, rhian even said so herself. I then played Rhian in a game of 2001 in one of the special events where I lost but I didnโt doo too bad considering Rhian was averaging 87. Overall it was a tough format and was a very tiring event towards the end but was great to play against all of the top women players in the world but non the less Iโm happy with how I did. I decided to not play womenโs pairs as I knew I would already have a long day playing the pentathlon but was supporting my dad playing in the menโs pairs. Saturday it was the womenโs singles where I drew a lady who played at lakeside last year and is in the qualifying spots to do again this year also. I lost the game but was again great experience, well done to Aletta Wajer, you played very well. Next up was the mixed pairs where I just couldnโt get going at all. I was partnered with my dad Darren Williams where we lost in the first round, was very unfortunate. Onto sunday where I played in the second lot of womenโs singles and yet again I drawed Aletta, again I lost this game, was definitely not the best on my part but there was nothing I could do, she played superbly. Overall was a great weekend of darts, learnt a lot of stuff and continuing to show progress in my game. Massive thank you to my parents for bringing me this weekend, itโs always very appreciated for everything you do for me to help me progress ๐ฉท๐ฏโ๏ธ
