Living with pain, stiffness, or carrying stress and tension in your body?

Working your fascia could help you move out of pain — and stay there. Starting Friday 16th January, I’m running a 4-week Introduction to the MELT Method, a simple and gentle self-care practice designed to reduce pain and restore ease of movement.

You’ll receive your own set of four therapy balls in your first session and learn how to use them to rehydrate your body’s fascia (connective tissue), helping you manage pain, reduce stiffness, and move with greater comfort.

🗓 Fridays 9:30–10:30am, starts 16th January 2026
📍 St Francis Church, Frimley, GU15 1EE
🪩 Therapy balls included
💷 £99 for the full 4-week course, including your therapy balls

Suitable for all ages. This self-help technique can be done standing on a Pilates mat or carpet, or sat in a chair.

End of week one 2026! If you’re looking to start Pilates this year, I have spaces in my Tuesday evening class 6-7pm at Bagshot Pavilion and Thursday evening class 7-8pm at Bisley Yurt.

If everything hurts and you’re looking for a gentle way to move and stretch to release some of those tight spots, I have just the thing…

Join me at Bisley Yurt this Thursday 8:15pm for our monthly Trigger Point Pilates class.

Suitable for all, you just need to be able to get down onto a mat, this class works on the body’s fascia and nervous systems to unwind and calm the body and mind.

Fascia is the connective tissue in the body, just like muscles, this can hold tension and make your body feel achy and sore.

We use soft, spiky massage balls around the body with gentle movement to target those ouchy spots.

The long foam roller is used to bring the sympathetic (fight & flight) and parasympathetic (rest & digest) nervous systems into balance.

The fire will be burning and it’s a lovely way to wind down on a Thursday evening.

The perfect way to end 2024: Yesterday was our Calm & Protect workshop

Huge thank you to for some brilliant grounding exercises and visualisations and kinesiology & tapping techniques to help calm the body and mind.

We moved together with a relaxing trigger point Pilates class, working on the fascia and nervous system.

We learnt more about the Vagus nerve and how to activate it to calm the body through time out, breathing techniques and even passing a ball from hand to hand!

We even had time for a self foot massage to reconnect with the body and feel more grounded.

Thank you to everyone who came along. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Our next evening Trigger Point Pilates class is this Thursday at 8:15pm.

This class will leave you feeling significantly calmer than when you arrive, perfect for the run up to Christmas.

Taking place at Bisley Yurt, in the Enchanted Studio, the woodburner will be on and the vibe will be relaxed.

This month’s session will focus on releasing tension in the shoulders and hips and will rebalance your nervous system.

I’m really excited to bring you details of a new workshop this December.

This is a collaboration between My Pilates Tribe and Amy Evans Holistic.

Calm & Protect is a 3hr workshop bringing you a blend of movement, mindfulness and energy work to support your well-being, calm your nervous system, and help you stay grounded throughout the festive period.

On the day you can expect:

✅ A 1hr Trigger Point Pilates class with a focus on calming the nervous system.

✅ Grounding and breathing exercises to help you in those stressful moments.

✅ Kinesiology and EFT/Tapping techniques to give you take-away tips.

✅ Time to step away from the bustle of the festive period and nurture your nervous system!

✅ A calming guided meditation & a gorgeous goody bag to take home.

The workshop will run 9:30-12:30pm on Sunday 15th December at The Bisley Yurt. Tickets are £45.

Exciting news for those of you who wanted an evening Trigger Point Pilates class.

From November I will be holding a monthly Trigger Point class on a Thursday evening 8:15-9pm at Bisley Yurt, on the 1st Thursday of the month.

Trigger Point Pilates combines Pilates-based moves with myofascial principles to work on your body’s fascia and nervous system.

It’s great for tired, achey bodies and I’ll be providing all the gear you need to bring balance back between your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems 🧘🏼

Fabulous for chronic pain, the massage balls will be your friend throughout the session and you might find you have a great sleep that night 💤

Ooops, it’s been a while 😬 but I’m still here!

An update on my latest round of tests as It’s almost a month since I saw the consultant to get a playback of the x-ray, MRI and CT scans on my scoliosis to better understand my increased pain levels this year.

The news was as expected really - I’ve done well to keep relatively pain free up to now but the recommendation is surgery and sooner is preferred.

The view is that if I have a fusion in the next 2 years that it will likely be T4-L4 so I still keep some movement above and below the fusion, especially in the pelvis.

If I decide to wait and then opt for surgery at a later date, maybe in my 60s, then it would be a fusion into the sacrum, so much less mobility.

The other option, to do nothing, didn’t really feel like an option as far as the consultant was concerned as this would be a real negative outcome!

🤯🤯🤯

This has been a LOT to get my head around.

For now, I am working on my scoli exercises, walking my lovely fur baby every day, taking more time out to relax and just mulling over what’s next, as I feel I have some time to really decide on what’s best for me next.

Oh and I’m still teaching Pilates of course!

I’ll continue to post a mix of Pilates bits and my own journey with scoliosis on here and hope it’s helpful/funny/authentic/uplifting to someone 😊
