Our club is run entirely by volunteers. Ben Warner recently took over the committee role of volunteers coordinator. With over 70 volunteers involved in the club this is an important and demanding role. He has been working hard all summer onboarding new volunteers and making sure all existing volunteers have up to date DBS and qualifications.

Thanks Ben for getting everyone ready for the season ahead.

It has been a challenging summer for grass pitches!

A massive thanks to Dan Box, our committee member responsible for the grounds and the clubhouse. Dan has been nurturing the goal mouths and other bare patches on our pitches all summer to ensure our pitches are ready for the rain when it arrives.

Pitches now all marked. Including the new 3v3 pitches ready for the U7s!

We will be holding our Season Prep Day on Sunday to give out new equipment, spruce up the clubhouse and goals and make sure all our coaches have everything they need.

Roll on the rain and then we are ready for 26/27 season to begin. 🖤🧡🖤🧡⚽️⚽️

A massive thanks to our Summer Camp and Skills Sessions coaching team. Your approach to coaching has been appreciated by all players and parents over the last few weeks.

Sion, Tom, Will, Erin, Kieran and Jasmine all played youth football at Derry Hill and have been coaches with many of our squads.

We actively encourage our older players to get involved in coaching - it benefits the younger players, the older players and the other coaches. If you know someone who would like to get involved in coaching at Derry Hill please email [email protected].

What a great morning of football - no photos as everyone was so busy!

We had our first Football Skills session where the players chose to focus on long crosses and shooting. They spent time practising technique, movement and positioning.

And we also had our last girls only fun football session for the summer. They had lots of fun - playing games, practising skills and making new friends.

⚽️ Girls only football fun for 5-11 year olds. An opportunity to learn new skills, make friends and enjoy spending time with other girls who love football

⚽️ Soccer skills for Y6-Y15. A great opportunity for players to get some individual coaching on a part of their game they want to improve.
