Well, well, well.. what about this!!
When I first started teaching yoga many years ago, myself and many other “fitness instructors “ that moved into the yoga world were quite frankly looked down upon. We were accused of watering down yoga to be just exercise and shaming us to even be called yoga teachers. Even though we had completed all the necessary training and qualifications to become one. Even to this day on many yoga threads the comments can be particularly “un yoga” and downright rude.
I and many other fitness professionals felt we had a lot to offer anyone who attended yoga classes with us because of our experience, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and countless teaching hours we had already acquired. The kind of experience where we know how someone will move in a class by seeing them walk into the studio.
So now the buzz word everywhere on social media is strength, the yoga world now want to get in on our act that we studied years ago.
I have always known that just stretching alone is never going to provide students with a well structured practice. I have always offered classes designed to improve all aspects of mind and body and to stay true to the essence of yoga. Seems us “fitness instructors” were ahead of our time😆
There is something for everyone out there , you just have to find your vibe.
I maybe the teacher for you and maybe not and I am totally fine with that.
This is why I don’t put much on social media because I will always be true to myself and believe in my offering to any student that takes a leap of faith in joining us on the mat!
🙏🏻💛
