What a 2026 for young speedster Spencer Whatley! ⚡️

Spencer capped off a massive year with another impressive performance, taking 3-36 against Somerset U18s, including the huge wicket of England U19 opening batsman Bertie Michael, clean bowled! 🎯

Raw pace, the ability to swing the ball and plenty of exciting development still to come. Spencer has made huge strides throughout 2026 and continues to show just how bright his future is.

A brilliant season, Spencer. We’re already looking forward to seeing what 2027 brings for you! 👏💚

Matt Dando-Thompson has been absolutely outstanding behind the stumps for us this season, conceding just one bye all year, in a game away at Camborne. ⚡️

Week after week, Thommo has set incredibly high standards with the gloves. Reliable, sharp and consistently producing moments of quality when the team has needed him. He has truly shown why he is regarded as one of the best keepers outside the pro game in the country.

A remarkable season behind the stumps and one that deserves plenty of recognition.

On Monday, Liam Lindsay heads back to South Africa after completing his fourth season at Callington.

Four seasons. Countless memories. One very special cricketer.

And this year, we witnessed Liam at his very best.

His most successful season at Callington to date, but the numbers only tell part of the story.

Over the last four seasons, Liam has become so much more than an overseas player. He has become a huge part of Callington Cricket Club.

A teammate, a friend and someone who has given absolutely everything every time he has pulled on the shirt.

Players like Liam don’t come around very often. His performances speak for themselves, but it is the person behind them that has made him such a huge part of our club.

Without question, one of the finest cricketers to ever represent Callington Cricket Club.

With the 2026 season now behind us, our attention turns to eight of our young Callington stars who will be heading overseas this winter to continue their cricketing journeys!

An incredible opportunity for all eight to develop their games, experience cricket in a different part of the world and have the time of their lives along the way.

Brian West’s funeral is at 11.30am on Friday 11th September at Bodmin Crematorium and afterwards at the family home, Broadgate Cottage, Broadgate, Luckett Callington PL17 8LH

Any friends, family, players, ex-players are more than welcome to attend the service and afterwards at Broadgate to share memories and cake.
