Well the summer heat waves have vanished and I am reduced to working under a tarp due to heavy rain. It has the feel of wild camping and hiking stick crafting all in one.

Some epoxy filling work to give a stained glass look to a void. A pathfinder model has been ordered so I have had to go through my stock to find a heavy gauge stick to make the blank from to them go on to the shaping process. Once I had the chosen stick it was on to straightening. This is challenging as it's almost double the size of a normal hiking stick blank.

Folklore inspired stick. Mushroom on top and a woodland spirit carving just below the handle. There is a woodland imp wood burning and spiral down the shaft. It's been hot in the workshop and woodshed.
