Biscovey Ladies VS Callington Town Ladies
Result 0-1

Today we faced Biscovey for the first time as the first game of the season was given to us as a walkover, but the ladies were determined to prove themselves. The sunny weather made it a perfect day for a football match. Despite the physical demands, the ladies matched Biscovey’s intensity and fought hard throughout the game.

Klaudia scored a penalty in the first half, giving the ladies a 0-1 lead. However, they were unable to convert any more chances and ultimately won the match 0-1.

The managers and sponsors awarded Player of the Match honours to Grace for her outstanding efforts on the pitch.

Erin was named Players’ Player of the Match for her constant battles and ability to win every ball back.

We would like to thank all the supporters who came out to cheer on the ladies today. We are pleased to have secured all three points

Unfortunately today’s fixture has been called off because Penryn can’t raise a side.

Today, we’ll be facing Penryn at home. After a few positive weeks, we’re eager to continue this on the pitch and secure another three points for the team. It would be wonderful to have the support of anyone out there today.

Callington Town Ladies and Kilkhampton Ladies faced off in a double header, with the league game ending in a 0-0 draw and the cup game resulting in a 1-1 tie.

Before the match, both teams held a minute’s silence in memory of Poppy Atkinson.

The game began with both teams displaying strong performances. Kilkhampton had a few shots on target, but with some brilliant clearances and saves by Sarah the score was kept tied. As the game progressed, the ladies showcased their skills, creating chances and showcasing their teamwork. Unfortunately, they were unlucky not to convert any of these opportunities.

Near the end of the first match, Kilkhampton began to lose their composure, and Callington capitalised on their frustration. However, the whistle blew, and the game ended in a goalless draw, securing a well-deserved point for the league.

During the break, the team realised that the second game would be a tough challenge. They knew they had to work and fight for each other to secure a win. Unfortunately, they had already been eliminated from the cup, but they had to finish the final game to determine the team that would progress.

Despite the fatigue setting in, Callington started the second game strong and took the lead in less than a minute. However, Kilkhampton managed to equalise, and the game continued to be a fierce battle. With fresh legs coming onto the pitch, Callington held Kilkhampton at bay, causing more frustration for the opposing team. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Today, we have a doubleheader at home against Kilkhampton! Both teams will be aiming to secure wins in the cup and the league. This is going to be a long and physical match for the ladies, so they’ll need all the support they can get. After experiencing some good weather spells, they’ll be back on the main pitch today. We look forward to seeing you there!

🚨 Callington Town Ladies vs Lanner Ladies Highlights! 🚨

Game Week 9

Today, we faced Lanner Ladies for the first time this season. In previous games, we knew both teams would battle fiercely. Lanner started quickly, but we soon settled and showcased our skills. Unfortunately, Lanner scored the opening goal. However, after a corner, Harriet scored an equaliser. We went into halftime 1-1. In the second half, we were determined to secure the win. We had numerous shots, but Lanner’s goalkeeper made some exceptional saves. Lanner managed to find the winning goal. As a team, we are deeply disappointed. We felt today’s win was deserved, but Lanner took it.

🏆 Managers Player of the Match: Elowen! She was an absolute threat down the wing, controlling the ball and creating many chances for us.

🏆 Players Player and Sponsors Player of the Match: Robyn! She had a superb game, using her speed to work her way up the pitch. She fought for every ball and took chances.
