When you ask the Man Friday gents for some social media content 😄

Some of these guys joined us more than 10 years ago. Somewhere along the way, they formed their own weekly competition — and they’ve been turning up ever since.

Golf, a bit of friendly competition, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, friendships that have grown well beyond the first tee.

That’s the bit about joining a golf club that doesn’t always make it onto the membership form.

While the horses take over, the greens team get to work.

The course might be closed for racing, but it’s certainly not quiet out there.

With no golfers to work around, the team are making the most of the opportunity to tackle some of the jobs that are much easier with an empty course.

Racing takes centre stage at Caister 🐎

The golf course will be closed to make way for the horse racing on Tuesday 15 September, reopening as usual on Friday 18 September.

One of the quirks of playing golf alongside a racecourse for a couple of days, the horses get right of way.

A brilliant run, just one step short.

Our Seniors Scratch team were at Royal Norwich yesterday for the final against a very strong Sheringham Golf Club who successfully retained the title they won last year.

It wasn’t to be for Caister this time, but reaching the final was a great achievement after a superb run through the competition.

A big thank you to everyone who represented the club across the various rounds, and to Paul Whiting for organising and captaining the team throughout.

Congratulations Sheringham side, we’ll be back to have another go next year! ⛳️

We’ve been banging on about the food in The Clubhouse for long enough, and it looks like Golfshake agrees.

Derek Clements reckons the fish & chips at Caister might just be the best he’s ever had.

71 golfers, 36 holes and plenty of Caister breeze to contend with.

Sunday’s Club Championship certainly tested the field, but two consistent rounds of 70 and 72 saw Thaine Hacon come out on top to be crowned 2026 Club Champion and Golfer of the Year.

There was plenty of drama in the handicap competition too, with Jack Reeve holding his nerve to take the Lindsay Cup, while Ian Lardner claimed the Bateman Plate with an excellent net 66 in the morning round.

A special mention too for juniors Harry Doran and Ellis Sparrow, who joined the field for the morning round, accompanied by Bryan Smy.

A brilliant day of club golf. Congratulations to our winners, everyone who took part, and a big thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped make it happen.

FINAL BOUND! 👏🏻

A fantastic result for our ladies yesterday, winning their Gillieson semi-final away at King's Lynn Golf Club against Caldecott Hall Golf Club

With 37 shots to give across the three matches, it was always going to be a tough one – and it went right down to the wire.

Jill and Ruth sealed the win for GYC on the 19th hole to send us through to the final.

A brilliant result and a big thank you to everyone who travelled to support the team.

Next stop: the Gillieson Final!
