What a week or 2 we've had eh? Kids go back to school, we go back to work, we go back to the daily grind, we go back to our routines and trying to become healthier.

We go back.

So today we go back to where my online workouts started. I was out of shape myself after 2 weeks of indulgence when lockdown started and I did nothing for a few weeks.

This session was workout 1 and you can see (and hear!) me struggling through it. But I kept going, and after a few weeks I was fighting fit and healthier again.

It's never too late to take that first step. Like yesterday's "Whenesday" post said.

โ€œWhen do I have time to exercise? I donโ€™t have time to exercise!โ€ is one of the most common reasons people use to justify not going to the gym or an exercise class. But is being too busy to exercise a genuine problem or just an excuse?

The Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu, captured this idea perfectly, saying:
โ€œTime is a created thing. To say 'I don't have time' is like saying โ€œI don't want to.โ€
We all have the same amount of time in a day as each other and our behaviour is a reflection of whatโ€™s important to us.

Essentially, we make time for the things we want to do, and we put off the things that we know will push and challenge us. Just think how much of this โ€˜time you donโ€™t haveโ€™ is spent scrolling on social media on a daily basis?

It doesnโ€™t have to be an hours session in the gym, it could just be a few laps around your street listening to your favourite songs, or a simple strength session using every day household items as resistance. As they say - anything is always better than nothing.

This is what I spent most of lockdown doing - helping people to train, to get fit and lose weight without needing to find the time to leave the house.
