Our first ever sports day on a campsite - its been an absolute pleasure

Jonny & Jo set up and facilitated a sports day for holiday makers & locals on a campsite near Caernarfon - an incredible site for camping and tourers with lakes, snowden & the sea within a stones throw away.

Children took part in running events, throwing events and team games throughout the late afternoon and evening. It was lovely to see some children follow us all the way from Stockport to join us at this event 😃

🌈 Bridging at Bramhall 2026 🌈

Yesterday we were involved in a transition event at Bramhall High School. This event was for the new Year 7 pupils to come in, see the school, meet the staff and see what high school is all about 😃

Children built robots, made fruit kebabs, played music & took part in team games whilst having the chance to meet other children who will be in their school year.

For us, it was the first time we have been involved in a high school project but what a great idea from the school to let the children have a sneak preview of what they have to come and ease some of the anxiety they may have had during the school holidays 👏🏼

We took small groups throughout the morning & afternoon to take part in Dodgeball - the children LOVED it, this was backed up in the childrens end of day survey 🙌🏼

Finally, at the end of the day once the children had rotated around all of the stations - the students, their siblings and adults were invited to join us in a colour run on the school field and celebrate a fantastic start to their Bramhall High School journey filled with colour ❤️

A huge thank you to staff of Bramhall High School, the incredible year 9 helpers who gave up their time during the holidays, the new year 7s - who were genuinely so lovely and of course our incredible staff - were so lucky to have you 🤩

We are incredibly proud to announce that Warren Wood Primary School has been awarded the Platinum School Games Mark for the second year running! 🌟 (this is the highest possible achievement for schools)

This prestigious award recognises our continued commitment to providing high-quality PE, school sport and physical activity, ensuring every child has the opportunity to participate, develop and succeed.

A huge thank you to Miss Edwards, whose dedication, passion and countless hours of work behind the scenes to ensure our children receive the very best sporting opportunities throughout the year. Your hard work is truly appreciated and we absolutely love you. Juggling all of this whilst teaching full time is no mean feat, you are the BEST!

We would also like to thank our fantastic sports coaches for the time, enthusiasm and expertise they bring each week, creating an environment where our amazing children can develop confidence, resilience and a love of sport.

Finally, well done to all of our pupils, whose effort, teamwork and positive attitude make achievements like this possible. We are incredibly proud of you all! 💙

We have been recognised for inclusion in sports at Warren Wood Primary School, something we work so hard on and we are extremely passionate about!

These awards celebrate our dedication to creating opportunities where all children feel welcomed, valued, and able to participate, regardless of their ability or background.

At all of our partner schools, we believe that sport is for everyone, and we’re passionate about ensuring every pupil has the chance to enjoy being active, build confidence, and experience success.

This year, we nominated Emily for the Young Sports Achiever of the Year award.

In our nomination, we highlighted the many reasons why we felt Emily was so deserving of this recognition. Throughout her primary school journey, she has been a fantastic ambassador for sport.

Emily has been ever-present in PE, always willing to help others, share her ideas, and give every sport her all. She has been a wonderful role model for the younger children coming through the school and an absolute dream to work with as sports coaches. On top of that, she has represented the school on countless occasions across a wide range of sports and has played a huge part in our sporting success over the years.

We are incredibly proud to share that Emily was awarded third place in Stockport’s Young Sports Achiever of the Year awards, receiving recognition from Stockport SHAPES at a special awards evening held at the Stockport Plaza. 👏🏼

A huge congratulations to Emily on this fantastic achievement. We wish her, along with the rest of our Year 6 pupils, the very best of luck as they continue their sporting journeys in high school. We have no doubt they will continue to achieve great things!

A huge well done to our coaching team who have been out under the sun all week, cooking. But not complaining and making these events the best for your children 👏🏼

The heat was cranked up but it didnt stop us - what a week!! Our favourite thing to do is show you adults what we get up to. We appreciate how hot its been but you have been nothing but supportive throughout.

A privilege to manage such a talented group of boys ⚽️

Several weeks ago some of the boys asked if they could represent school in a weekend tournament. So of course, thats what we did.

A huge thanks to Mellor FC for hosting a brilliant tournament - lots of learning and a huge step up in physicality (perhaps wrestling at times) but they took it all in their stride.

A great learning experience with 5 of our 7 playing a year up in an under 9 tournament.

Needless to say, the boys showed lots of togetherness & teamwork and took the trophy back to school with two exceptional performances in the semis and final 🙌🏼

Theres some talk of an away trip to flamingo land 🦩- we shall see …
