Ers i Cneifio Gelert cael ei sefydlu yn 2019 mae na sawl elusen wedi ei chefnogi ganddom. Eleni byddwn yn cefnogi elusen MND sef Motor Neurone Disease. Os hoffwch cefnogi ni drwy noddi cystadleuaeth neu rhodd ar gyfer yr ocsiwn neur raffl gadewch i ni wybod.

Since the first Gelert Shears competition way back in 2019 many local and national charities have been supported. This year we will be supporting the Motor Neurone Disease charity. If you would like to sponsor a competition or have a donation for the Auction or raffle please let us know.

BREAKING NEWS !! In conjunction with British Wool Marketing Board Gelert Shears is offering a Novice Blade Shearing Course on Friday 3rd July 2026 for a chance to gain experience and qualifications through BWMB Instructors Clive Hamer and Rheinallt Hughes. To be held at Cwmcloch Beddgelert starting at 9am.

Cneifio Carol Bateman.
Bydd yr a***n eleni yn mynd tuag at MND.

Thank you all for your support to Gelert Shears 2025. The money we raised has now been shared between Hafod Hedd Dementia Unit in Pwllheli and the British Heart Foubdation in memory of a dear friend of the shearing community Carol Bateman.
Money raised this year will be donated to the MND.

Nos Wener / Friday Evening 5,30pm onwards Cwmcloch, Beddgelert

Nid i’w gymysgu gyda'r Cwrs Cneifio Nofis sy’n digwydd yn ystod y dydd. Mae Nos Wener yn gyfle i unrhyw un roi cynnig ar gneifio dafad gyda cwelleifiau. Does dim angen unrhyw brofiad blaenorol, a bydd popeth o dan oruchwyliaeth rhai o’r cneifwyr mwyaf profiadol yn y wlad. Ar agor i bawb — ac yn hollol rhad ac am ddim! Dewch yn llu am brofiad byth gofiadwy!!

Not to be confused with the Novice Shearing Course happening during the day. Friday evening is simply a chance for anyone to have a go at shearing a sheep on the blades. No previous experience is necessary, and everything will be supervised by some of the country’s most experienced shearers. Open to all — and completely free! Come and give it a go for an unforgettable experience !
