Fireplace finished at last, the mantelpiece is from one of the groynes in Portballintrae- it took three of us half an hour to lift it up there- and it’s nice to get Jim Allen’s hand made Causeway Coast map back in place. Thanks to everyone who got stuck in to make this happen.

Putting down a new floor in the rear of the Shed is the next job on the list.

🐕 Important Notice for Dog Owners

Following several complaints, we would like to remind all members and visitors, that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while on the premises.

While many people enjoy dogs, not everyone is comfortable with a dog approaching them, regardless of how friendly it may be. Keeping dogs on a lead helps ensure that everyone can enjoy the hospitality safely and comfortably.

We must ask all dog owners to adhere to this rule. Failure to do so may leave us with no option but to reconsider allowing dogs in the club altogether.

Please don’t spoil it for the many responsible dog owners who already follow the rules and help make the club welcoming for everyone.

Well my time as Commodore of the Portballintrae Boat Club has come to an end and it was a real privilege to represent the Club. A big thank you to the rest of the committee and staff for keeping everything running smoothly and making sure that the bar keeps it relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Good luck to Sam Ramage the new Commodore, I’m sure he will do a great job.
Thanks to all who supported my fundraising efforts, travelling by sea from Lough Foyle to Belfast Lough, in aid of the Coast Offices’ boat shed restoration fund. With all your backing it helped us surpass our target of £10,000, our new roof is already on and work has started on the fireplace.
