Hello everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself and share a community fundraising event that I'm currently organising in support of Children with Cancer UK and Bushey and Oxhey FC, with whom I have had the privilege of managing a team for 9 years now and seen the huge benefits that the Club has on the community.

I'm bringing people together for a Walking Football Marathon with the aim of raising £5,000 to help support the incredible work both causes do for children.

Like many people, I know families whose lives have been affected by childhood cancer, and I know how important the support, care and research provided by Children with Cancer UK is during such difficult times.

My hope is that this event not only raises vital funds but also raises awareness, brings communities together, and inspires more people to get involved in making a difference.

Every business sponsorship, donation, share and word of encouragement will help move closer to my goal.

Thank you for everything you do, and I hope to make you proud through this event.

⚽ Can you help raise £5,000 for Children with Cancer UK and Bushey & Oxhey FC?
I’m excited to be organising a Walking Football Marathon to raise money for two fantastic causes: Children with Cancer UK and Bushey & Oxhey FC.

📅 DATE: Saturday 12th September 2026
📍 Venue: Power League, Bushey.

This event is about much more than football. Walking football is an inclusive sport that brings people together, improves physical and mental wellbeing, and provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to stay active, social, and connected.

Throughout the marathon, will be part of an amazing challenge, while raising funds for causes that make a real difference to people's lives.

I’m hoping the event will not only raise important funds but also inspire more people to discover the many benefits of walking football and become involved in this growing community.

Any donation, no matter the size, would be hugely appreciated. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this post to help us reach more people.
Together, we can support Children with Cancer UK in their incredible work with children and families affected by cancer, while also helping Bushey & Oxhey FC continue to provide opportunities for young people to participate in football and strengthen community connections.
