FRC x Padel Evolution 🖤🎾

We’re excited to announce that we’re teaming up with fellow local initiative Padel Evolution.

We’ll be kicking things off with our first ever Knight Rally on Thursday 20th August.

We’ll start with our usual social 5KM Knight Run, this time beginning and finishing at Old Joes, before heading over to the brand new courts for an evening of social padel.

Whether you’ve played before or you’re completely new to the sport, this is all about bringing people together, trying something different, and having a great evening.

🎟️ Padel spaces are limited to 30 and cost £4 per person. Reserve your place via Eventbrite (link in our bio), with payment details to be shared in our WhatsApp community.

👕 We’ve also launched an exclusive FRC x Padel Evolution t-shirt through our CSS Rugby club shop. As an added bonus, anyone who purchases a t-shirt will receive 50% off a booking with Padel Mates. Simply send a member of the run club team your shirt order confirmation to claim your discount.

Fortify Five XXVIII 🖤

65 of you joined us this morning, and with plenty of new faces again, we still can’t believe this community continues to grow.

As always, it was a brilliant morning socially. So many great conversations, and it was lovely to see so many of you staying afterwards at Toast. A huge thank you to the team at Toast Sudbury for continuing to support our Sunday mornings so well.

A special mention also to the communities at Fortify Fitness and BT Fitness Coaching. We always say the run club was born from the community that trained together, and it’s amazing to see that same community continuing to grow while welcoming so many new faces along the way. 🖤

No run club next weekend but there is a The Sole Sisters Run Club event on the Sunday! For Fortify, we’re back on Thursday for a Knight Run. See you there 🖤

Fortify Five XXVIII 🖤

We’re back in Sudbury this Sunday for another Fortify Five, and we can’t wait to see you all again.

It’s great to see that, for the first time, all of this Sunday’s volunteer pacers are women. A lovely reflection of the community we’re continuing to build 🖤

The Fort Challenges: August 🖤

Fancy winning yourself a free t-shirt from our club shop?

Your challenge is simple: complete a run while spelling out FORTIFY using the first letter of the roads you run on.

To enter:

🏃🏼 Record your run on Strava (bonus points if you’re in the FRC club!)
📸 Take photos of each road sign and add them to your activity
🔤 The roads don’t need to be completed in order during your run, but your photos should be arranged to spell FORTIFY
📱 Share your run on Instagram or Facebook and tag both Fortify Run Club and Fortify Fitness
📅 Entries close on 14th August

All successful entries will be put into the draw, with the winner drawn at our Fortify Five in Bury on 23rd August.

Get planning… we can’t wait to see what routes you come up with 👀🖤

BSE Fortify Five III 🖤

44 of you joined us in Bury St Edmunds this morning as we took on the reverse of our usual route.

Another great turnout, and even better to welcome more new faces as we continue to grow this community.

The weather couldn’t quite make its mind up with heavy showers followed by hot sunshine, but one thing that stayed consistent throughout was the positive energy.

We’re now taking a short break from Bury until 23rd August, but before then we’ll be back for two Fortify Fives in Sudbury, starting next Sunday.
