When it comes to Roller Derby, age aint nothing but a number!!!

And we have ALL the numbers here.

We do have some tadpoles, those are people under the age of 18 (parents are frogs on the team) who have done rookie course, and come to training for skills and vibes (and of course they like to help with skating officials stuff, but not contact).

Quite a number of us have taken up not just the sport but also being on wheels, in our late 30s to early 40s.

Sometimes our youngest team players offer coaching tips to the team and league and everyone's experience is valued, appreciated and celebrated.

How old were you when you took up skating/roller derby? Share with us in the comments!

Its that time of year where we get super excited to welcome you all for a night of fun, friendship and possibly some frolicks.....most definitely frolicks.

We've decided to offer a quiet hour in support of those who need some extra time to get their bambi legs coordinated, need less flashy lights and thumping beats. Its great for nervous skaters and families and is a shorter session.

The main event is open to all and you can expect the usual frivolities.

Check out some snaps from last years fun! And yes, we even let blades in!!!

Head to main disco post or our bio for more details and ticket information.

Ahem, ahem- thats all she wrote folks!

Our return to competitive play in the is complete for 2026.

We had an utter blast, learned loads, saw derby pals, took and made big hits, performed apex jumps, scored 20 point jams, knocked people flying, recycled, spent some time in the penalty box, danced on track, encouraged Mexican waves and smiled the whole time doing it!!

Thank you to our Tier 5 buddies from Screaming Spires and . Thanks to all the officials, venues and supporters that travelled to watch the fun!

SRD out!
