In 2014 we refurbished the old Metcalfe Arms Pub in Hawstead, and turned it into a high quality cycle shop and destination cafe, serving Barista coffees, our famous sausage rolls, breakfast, lunches, light snacks and mouth-watering cakes and traybakes. We are fully licenced as well. We stock a wide range of cycles and cycle accessories from Trek, Moda, Tifosi, BatriBike, Bontrager, Lake, Continental, Vittoria, Spinergy, Fulcrum and many more. Full bike servicing by our Cytec trained technician. In 2019 we added 6 self contained glamping pods to our 5 acre site. Set in the serene Suffolk Countryside, close to Historic Bury St Edmunds.

Those that know will know. This thing is a very rare beast. A very tricky beast to get the brakes working well. Front brake has 6 bends 4 at 90°. Its cable operated and some really tight bends. It came in with the brakes not working great. Someone had used a gear cable on the front brake. It was stuck in the lever big time. Anyway. New outer housing and new inner all supplied from Jagwire pro slick. Compressionless outers and stainless polished inners. Works like a dream now!
