✅ Awesome! That’s near enough our membership criteria 😀

Nobody walks through our door because they love exercise, they walk in because they’re tired of being tired, because keeping up with the kids or grandkids shouldn’t leave them breathless, and because the next ten years shouldn’t be harder than the last ten.

Exercise isn’t the goal here, it’s the tool, and the life you build outside these walls with that energy, that comfort in your own skin, that ability to keep going, is what actually matters.

There are no egos here and nobody trying to be the fittest person in the room, just people quietly trying to be a bit better than they were yesterday.

And here’s the part that surprises most people, once you start feeling the difference in everyday life, exercise stops being something you have to do and becomes something you want to do, especially when you’re surrounded by others on the same journey, which is when your session quietly becomes one of the best parts of your day.

You don’t have to be “a gym person” to need one

You know the stereotype. Someone who lives on protein shakes and spends hours under a barbell, looking like fitness is just part of who they are. No wonder so many of us see that and think “yeah, that’s just not me.”

But here’s the thing. Being a “gym person” isn’t about any of that.

It’s about getting off the floor without that slow, careful, three-point-turn thing.

It’s about carrying all the shopping in from the car in one go, instead of dreading the second trip.

It’s about having a bit left in the tank to chase the kids round the garden, rather than collapsing on the sofa the second they’re fed.

You don’t need to become a different person. You just need to feel capable instead of knackered, and trust your body to do what you ask of it.

So maybe the question isn’t “am I a gym person.” Maybe it’s “what could my body do for me, if I just found the right place to start.”

Because once that clicks, and you find an environment that actually fits you, that’s when everything changes.

Meet Mark 👋

59 years old, cancer survivor and now stronger than he’s been in years.

When Mark joined us back in January, he wasn’t looking for anything fancy. He just wanted to get stronger, fitter and healthier before his 60s hit.

Six years on from finishing treatment, he’d rebuilt his strength and much more. More energy, more strength, a body that kept up with his life.

Here’s what he didn’t expect:

His sleep, something he’d struggled with for years, has improved. His energy outside the gym has gone up. And he’s found a group of people he actually looks forward to training with.

He’s now entering his sixth month with us, and there’s plenty more still to come 🙌

“What does being strong mean to you?” 🎤

We asked a few of our members, and the answers said it all.

For one member in their mid-70s, it’s about aging well, staying stable, feeling sharp, and having the confidence that your body will do what you ask of it. An all-round good thing, as they put it.

For another, it’s more personal. They’ll be the first to admit they’d let themselves become lazy and lethargic. But since building their strength back up, the energy has returned, the confidence has followed, and the hills that used to beat them? They’re walking them with ease now, all the way to the pin.

That’s what strength really is. The power and ability to do the things that matter to you, for as long as possible.
