Good morning members.
Work has already started at water lane on accessiblity swims for those wanting to fish the lake but need that extra support to get to the swim.
2 more will be added in time.
A huge thanks goes out to Ashley are committee member whose done a fantastic job.
More work parties will take place this year to open up the island all round making it’s one stunning price of water to fish knowing 90% of the water will be full accessible.

Grass has been cut at Middle Res. We have focussed on the swim areas mostly and have cut two pathways to the toilet. Also, driving can resume on the grass, however, please take care when doing so. It appears that Water Lane has also been done, presumably by our regular chap who’s been renovating the steps, so many thanks to him. Grant has or certainly will be doing the same at Barrow.
On a not so positive note, over the last week or so, weve had various people report to us either via messaging or in person, of an individual regularly visiting Middle Res, telling anglers that most of the fish are dead, amongst other ludicrous things. He is only making himself look very silly, with lots of carp and bream being caught of late and at any one time, you almost always see several carp show themselves throughout the lake. Please be assured that the things that are being said are false. We aim to keep ALL association waters, places that are as friendly and as welcoming as possible, for all types of angler to enjoy our sport.
Happy fishing and tight lines 🎣🎣

The Bury St Edmunds Angling Association was founded in 1938. Our aims are to provide and maintain angling, promote fellowship amongst anglers, organise friendly fishing competitions and to preserve and further the sport of angling generally. The club offers angling on four lakes and members have the right to fish all Association waters.
