Developing a Growth Mindest ↗️
Someone with a fixed mindset is thought to carry the beliefs that their ability isn’t able to change, and they focus on what’s familiar to them in order to avoid a challenge, or stepping out their comfort zone.
On the opposite side of the scale, there’s people with a growth mindset. These people seek challenges and perceive them as opportunities to improve and learn, and believe their abilities can be shaped.
It is we that can take control of our actions and outcomes, not necessarily the external environment.
If people have a fixed mindset, can those same people seek continual growth? Absolutely! Here are two ways to help shift our influential state of mind:
1️⃣Seek a coach or a training facility - someone to guide you through knowledge and accountability will help massively, being pushed out comfort zones safely and effectively.
2️⃣Inspiration - be inspired, not jealous of family and friends. Surround yourself with people who are keen to excel and grow. You’ll be amazed how much it will help the journey, when you’re on a journey with like minded others. Remove people in your life that drag you down - it may be the best thing you’ll do!
Your greatest value comes from comparing your journey to you. Reflect on your previous weeks / months progress. Have you moved closer to your goals? If so, celebrate it! Tell others and share the journey.
If you didn’t, dive into why. Was there something you maybe neglected or were you without the necessary tools? Assess, and reset. This is where you’ll find yourself being a growth mind setter.
Aim to be a growth mind setter, where opportunity and progression lies. Tune into your mindset, be opening to learning and use success of others around you to fuel your own journey of success!
