London Marathon 2026

This time next week it will all be over.

16 weeks of training.Over 320 miles of running.That’s approximately 320 miles more than I would have normally done!

There have been early mornings, tired legs, wet weather, and plenty of moments where it would have been easier to stay on the sofa… but knowing I’m doing this for such an important cause has kept me going.

Next week I’ll be standing on the start line of the London Marathon, and every single mile will be powered by the support, encouragement, and generosity of friends and family.

If you’ve been meaning to donate but haven’t quite got round to it yet, this is your gentle nudge. Even a small amount makes a huge difference and would mean a lot as I take on the biggest running challenge I’ve ever attempted.

JOIN US! | 7 in 7: Together

Join us on Monday for the start of Kevin Sinfield's 7 in 7: Together challenge, at The Greene King IPA Haberden.
On Monday, Kevin Sinfield, the MND fundraiser and former Rugby League player, will begin his latest challenge, 7 in 7: Together, from our own Greene King IPA Haberden.

Sinfield has raised over £10 million with his five previous challenges for those impacted by Motor Neurone Disease, inspired by his friend and former team mate Rob Burrow.

Kevin is set to run seven ultra marathons in seven days across seven cities or regions. Again, this will include an Extra Mile event where members of the MND community will join Kev for one mile each day from 1st to 7th December 2025. Each day will be broken down into 7km blocks that Sinfield must complete inside the hour, before setting off on the next leg on the hour.

This year, Kevin and the team will visit new locations that could be overlooked by major events so the MND community in each know they are not forgotten.

The Challenge starts Monday, as the team arrive in East Anglia, running from The Greene King IPA Haberden, Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, to Ipswich in tribute to former Ipswich Town striker Marcus Stewart, who is living with MND.

The Wayne Balvin Breakfast Show in BBC Radio Suffolk kicks off, live from The Haberden.

Gates / Clubhouse Open
Join us for bacon rolls, sausage baps, egg baps, sausage rolls and pastries. Plus, all the tea and coffee you'll need at this time in the morning.

Limited parking will be available on site.

7:00am
Our Resident DJ will fire up the music to build the atmosphere.

Mr Motivator Warm Up
Get warm and in the spirit with a Mr Motivator style warm up, run by David Calver of DC Fitness.

MND will be our charitable focus for the entire month of December. We will be facilitating in-clubhouse buckets, bobble hat raffles and more to support our overall contribution to this amazing cause and to Kevin Sinfield's extraordinary efforts.

Now, we are calling upon you - the and the wider Bury St Edmunds community to join us and support this momentous occasion. Please wear your club colours to show our pride at hosting this momentous occasion.

Kevin is due to run around 08:00am but we want to pack The Haberden way before this, to create the ultimate atmosphere for him.
