Two brand new adult group sessions are launching at Alrewas Tennis Club — and everyone's welcome, from complete beginners to players wanting to sharpen their game!

🟢 TENNIS STARTERS (Beginner/Improver)
📅 Thursdays, 18:00 – 19:00

🟢 LADIES GROUP SESSIONS (Beginner/Improver)
📅 Thursdays, 12:00 – 13:00

Both sessions:
✅ Coach-led — learn and improve your strokes (and tactics!)
✅ No experience needed
✅ All rackets & balls provided
💰 Just £6.50 per session

Fancy giving pickleball a try? Come along to Alrewas Tennis Club as part of the Alrewas Arts Festival for a free introduction to one of the fastest-growing sports around.

Are you looking to play within a friendly, flexible and fun tennis league? Then why not join our Alrewas Box League! 🎾

Expect to play one game each month with a bunch of tennis players from Alrewas and Fradley. 🏆🎾

To keep things fresh, the players with the highest and lowest scores are swapped into other boxes for the following month’s round of games. 🔄

It’s a great way to meet people, make new tennis friends and get outside to play a game of tennis! ☀️🎾😊

What a great start to our new Sunday Pickleball sessions at Alrewas Tennis Club!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along this morning. It was fantastic to see a mix of familiar faces, complete beginners, first-time picklers and tennis players all giving it a go.

Special thanks to Toni for sharing her pickleball expertise and helping us all learn the ropes. There were some close matches, plenty of laughs and a great atmosphere throughout.

If you couldn’t make it this week, don’t worry – we’re back every Sunday from 10am–12 noon. No experience needed, no equipment required, just come along and give it a try. Bring a friend too!

PICKLEBALL IS COMING TO ALREWAS!
Curious about the sport everyone is talking about? Now’s your chance to try it for yourself.
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide—quick to pick up, competitive if you want it to be, and highly addictive in the best way.
From Sunday 5th July, Alrewas Tennis Club is launching weekly Pickleball Social Sessions every Sunday, 10:00am–12:00pm at the Alrewas tennis club courts.
Whether you’ve never picked up a paddle or you’re already racket-sport obsessed, you’re very welcome.
It’s easy to learn, fast, fun and sociable. No experience needed and equipment provided. Just turn up and play (stay as long as you like).
Sessions during July will be free to members and non-members, so bring a friend and give it a go.
We are initially targeting these sessions at people aged over 16, but hope to launch a junior session soon.

No arguments over line calls today — Pauline Eyre was on court! We had the pleasure of welcoming comedian and former Wimbledon line judge Pauline Eyre to Alrewas Tennis Club today. After a few sets with members of the club Pauline headed off to Lichfield where she is appearing in her own show at the Garrick Theatre. Thanks you joining us today Pauline, and good luck tonight.
