On Sunday a few of the Washlands Women Runners ladies took part in the Burton 10k! A tough set of hills to kick things off, but the lovely downhill stretch towards the finish made it all worth it. Thank you to Hatton Darts for a fantastic day as always - such a great atmosphere!

A warm evening race for the Washlands ladies at Worthington 6, and what a fantastic atmosphere it turned out to be. Great running ladies! And a huge shout‑out to Ivanhoe for organising.

What a fantastic evening at the Washlands Relays – arguably (and admittedly in our very biased opinion!) the most fun race in the BDSL calendar! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

It was brilliant to see teams of 3 and 4 battling it out around the 2-mile Washlands loop, with plenty of friendly competition, team spirit, and encouragement all around the course. The rain may have made an appearance, but it certainly didn’t dampen the atmosphere!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported, marshalled, and cheered. Events like this are only possible because of the amazing running community we have.

Special thanks must go to Sally Porter, our Race Director, who once again did a fantastic job organising the event and making sure everything ran so smoothly. 👏

We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did, and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Join Our Beginner’s Running Course ✨👟

Our Beginner’s Course has practical run/walk sessions to help you gradually build up to running 2 miles by the end of the course. It is perfect for those looking to start or get back into running.

💫 What is great about our club?
• An inclusive environment with women of all ages and abilities. The ladies are always up for a chat and a laugh or to offer any running advice.
• You never get left behind - we always have a front and back coach - you will never be “too slow”!
• We have 2, 4 and 6 mile routes on offer each week and we vary the routes so you can explore new areas Burton.
