🖤Burton RFC U16 Girls Match Awards🤍

A massive well done to our U16 Girls after a great performance away against a very strong Sandal side. This was our first time playing them, and they were incredibly welcoming, we’re already looking forward to the return fixture.

🏉 Back of the Match – Lucy Selected by the forwards for her work rate, decision‑making and consistency throughout the game.

💪 Forward of the Match – Arsenia Chosen by the backs for her physicality, dominance in contact and relentless effort in every phase.

🎯 Coaches’ Players of the Match – Holly & Lexie Both stood out for their leadership, composure and impact in key moments. A brilliant example of commitment and teamwork.

👏 Opposition Player of the Match – Lexie Recognised by Sandal for her performance, attitude and influence across the match.

A strong showing from the whole squad, proud of every one of them.

The wait is over! This Sunday sees our Burton U16 Girls take to the field for their first game of the season as they head away to face Sandal.

Mini & Junior Registration ⚪️⚫️

On Friday 4th September, we’ll be hosting a registration evening for all new and existing Mini & Junior players who want to play in the 2026/27 season.

We look forward to welcoming you between 18:30–20:30.

Burton Colts will also be playing a fixture against Hinckley RFC under the lights. It’s a great spectacle and a fantastic opportunity for your children to see what they could aspire to be in the years to come. 🏉

Last night the weather had other ideas! ☀️🥵

With the heat making contact training unsafe and the ground too hard, Ravvy ☬ from Beyond Black Belt tailored a fantastic session specifically for our U16 girls.

It was a brilliant session, with the girls getting loads from it. The skills and techniques they worked on are not only valuable in their own right but are also highly transferable to rugby. 🏉💪

A huge thank you to Rav and everyone at BBB for putting on such a great session. The girls really enjoyed it and took plenty away from it.

We’ll see you again soon! 👊
