I did seal a split in the tank once already with a "magic seal" I bought at the Bike Show last year which worked really well. But now I have 2 splits - one on each side! I'll be trying another variety of super glue and magic seal with nylon microfibre fabric combinations tomorrow! Fingers crossed 🤞

Since the weekend, when the bike was running lumpy, kept back-firing and cutting out, I have:
- removed the air box
- removed the carburettor
- stripped it down & cleaned it
- checked the pilot and main jet
- re-assembed it
- checked the fuel tank for contamination
- removed and cleaned the spark plug
- checked the wiring to the ignition for poor connections
- removed and replaced the HT coil
- re-assembled it
- started and rode it for 5 miles
- checked it ticked over smoothly
- filled it with fuel and it pi**ed with petrol from under the tank!!!!! Ahhhhh 🤬 😱 🤬

I can't believe my luck! 😒 Last night I got the bike running really sweet again. So today, I filled the tank ready for a ride out tomorrow..... And petrol started pi***ng out from under the tank! Took it off and it's got a split in 2 places!!! Caused by a cable tie around the top tube of the frame, which someone used to tie up the breather tubes of the carburettor!
