Grindhouse Gym… started seven years ago with nothing but my undiagnosed ADHD, a big ego, and a stubborn belief that I could build something different. And I did. I needed that fire back then it’s what pushed me to create a strongman gym that wasn’t the usual “fat lad in a car park” setup with the negative attitudes that come with it.
I built Grindhouse clean, positive, athletic, welcoming.
I brought in top equipment, brand new kit, free education, recovery, and a small exclusive community.
I created the world’s first accredited kids’ strongman course.
I’ve held comps, events, and put strongman on the map in my own way.
All of that yeah, that was me.
Driven by proof.
Driven to show strongman deserves a proper platform.
And guess what? I did it.
Now that Grindhouse is built and known, it’s opened the door to taking the same energy, the same drive, but using it to help people through wellbeing programmes, mental health talks, addiction support, all the lived experience stuff I’ve actually walked through.
This year’s been tough. Losing my dad shook me.
It made me go deeper, more spiritual, more focused on the meaningful frontline work the stuff that feels like purpose, not just business.
I’ve done the business chapter.
I’m circling back to why I started:
To share my story.
To talk honestly.
To support people in and out of the gym using the things that saved me.
And now, for the first time, I’m not doing it alone.
I’ve got an amazing small team , Sheena, and and in the new year you’ll see P6 grow properly.
Why the long blurb?
Because I’m winding down.
Letting everything settle.
Resting before the next push.
January’s coming.
And when it does I’m ready.
