SJDA, today, Wheels for Wishes are doing one of the biggest rides, in aid of veterans who have lost their lives to su***de. I shall also be on this ride today, so if you can all be at B&Q carpark, for 9.30am, Lots of bikers will be riding past shortly after, and making their way to the arboretum memorial.
Also, if anyone has a motorbike and would like to come and take part, we're meeting at coopers square carpark at 8.30am, and leaving at 9.

It’s just after 5am.
Most of the world is still asleep, but today has already begun. Somewhere, people are waking up. Pulling on their leathers. Checking their bikes. Getting ready to travel miles to stand beside people they may never have met.
And they’re coming to us.
Today isn’t really about motorbikes. It isn’t about how many turn up, how impressive the convoy looks or how loud we can make Burton.
It’s about the people who aren’t here to see it.
It’s about the empty chair at the table. The phone number you still can’t delete. The photograph you stop at for a little longer than the others. The birthday that still comes every year.
It’s about the families who have had to learn how to carry on living after a knock at the door or a phone call changed their world forever. And it’s about every person who once sat quietly believing that this world would be better without them in it.
If that is you, please hear us today.
You matter. Your voice matters. And there are people you haven’t even met yet who would rather sit beside you through your darkest night than live in a world where you are no longer in it.
That is why we ride.
Today we ride for the serving members of our Armed Forces and our veterans who fought battles nobody around them could see. We ride for the sons. The daughters. The dads. The mums. The brothers. The sisters. The partners. The friends.
We ride for every name that should never have needed to be remembered this way. And we ride beside the families who have been left carrying those names.
When those engines start this morning, listen to them. Really listen.
Because that roar is more than noise.
Let the roar of our bikes represent the sound of the voices that weren’t heard.
Let it carry every name. Every memory. Every “I wish I’d known.” Every “I wish you’d stayed.” Every single person who deserved another tomorrow.
And when we ride into the National Memorial Arboretum today, we won’t arrive as individuals. We’ll arrive as one.
For Paige. For Ed. For Elysium Memorial Foundation. For every family standing behind them. For every person represented by that memorial. And for every person still fighting their battle today.
The miles won’t matter. The early start won’t matter. The tiredness won’t matter.
Because today, we show up.
Today, we make enough noise for those who no longer can. Today, we carry them with us.
And today, more than ever…
