We’ve been lied too.
All of us.
When you were younger do you remember being told that if you wanted to lose weight you had to eat healthy.
‘Super foods were king’
Avocado,
Eggs,
Nuts,
Dark chocolate,
Salmon,
Organic butter,
The list goes on.
These were the foods that if you ate over and over again you would lose weight.
Well its a lie…
A lie thats caused thousands and thousands of people to never lose weight and has left them feeling fed up and frustrated.
It’s a lie I fell for too…
Eating for weight loss is about being in a calorie deficit,
If you eat less calories than what your body burns YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT, its a FACT
Eating for health is providing your body every vitamin, mineral and macronutrient it could need to be at its most optimal.
They are completely separate things.
So when day after day you make the ‘healthy’ choice, hoping that you’ll lose weight I hate to break it to you it won’t.
The way you lose weight is by making the choices that equates to less calories than your body needs.
If your goal is fat loss, I would rather you have 1000 calories of chocolate every day than 3000 calories of chicken, veg, eggs and nuts because you’ll lose more weight on the chocolate.
Thats the TRUTH.
Its not ‘sexy’, its not complicated and its not spoken about enough - (probably because super food companies don’t want you to know how they’re not actually helping you lose weight)
So if you’re someone who feels like you’re eating healthy but still not losing weight.
Stop listening to this age old lie.
Stop feeling pressured to choose the dark chocolate over white or dairy.
Stop choosing eggs and avocado on toast when you want a bacon butty.
And start eating what you want but start tracking your calories too.
Your weight loss will never of been easier!
